I was doing some maths just now and found myself getting a little depressed.

Earlier this year a traded in my old 1993 Lexus ES300 for my new(ish) car a 1998 Nissan Skyline R34. The official traded in "price" I got for my car? $5,000.

Recently I bought some new wheels for my new baby, they arrived Thursday and I fitted them up on Saturday. Their cost? ~$4,360 (including tyres).

This means that my old Lexus was "worth" just $640 more then my new tyres and wheels. :(

A little more depressing when I work at a tyre shop and the tyres were wholesale/cost price. :( :( :(
