  1. How does NXT compare to Gold Class?

I used Gold Class twice and gave it as i felt it doesnt give the shine...now using Armorall.

I always uded cold but tried warm water, i think most car wash solution are for cold washing...

They way i do my washing is hose, 1 buck of clean water with spung to clean off dirt, then 1 bucket of solution using spung, then host off solution and then dryed immediately with synthetic chamois.

  2. My rims are the 16" and are not what i would want to showcase if u know what i mean? It they were the 18" then i would feel differently.

I like my car as much as everyone like theirs don't get me wrong. I just want to give it the right level of love that it deserves at this stage (stock Prestige) cos i know i will want to like it more and more when i get wheels and other stuff. If my car was a luxury sports, i recon i would not be saying all this lol!!!

  3. There are i think 4 clips that holds the side panel in. One of the clip you need to becareful as it is different to the others and can come off and fall inside.

To open, just use a flat head screw driver (or something flat) and lever out slowly and slighly one area/point at a time. Starting at the bottom.

I have openned this a few times but the problem is everything is well caged in and you won't be able to get further in the dash to do anything. To get further inside, you need to open the actual circular vent hole, which i do not know how to.

  4. Some color have a shinnier finish to them than others. This is given, and no matter how much you wax your car (if you do have that dull color finish), it will at best shine to the same degree as another car with shinny paint with just a wash.

I left my wheels dusty as i couldnt see any point of washing them when they take only 2-3 days to go all dusty again. i'm getting new wheels and when i do i will want to wash them everyday i recon. :)

  5. Just thought i'd let you know, i've been to Terry Shields at Para (place where Lexus Para service their cars) and was shown the oem Toyota they use for all cars, it's a Toyota brand 5w-40 but fully synthetic. I'd assume this oil is used everywhere so yeh something to think about come servicing with them.

  6. I know the Is250 won it last year but just saw a guide in drive.com and what seem to be for 2007, the Is250 is again best prestige. Resale value is equal first place.

    ThE VERDICT

BMW’s once unassailable hold on the junior

executive express class has fallen prey to

complacency. It matters little what the sales

figures are because at Drive we’re not judging

a popularity contest. We’re here to find the best

    real-world prestige sedan around $55,000.

The BMW 320i leads in just one area, interior

    space, though when you take

into account the impractical nature of the cabin

even that win must be followed by a disclaimer.

It has the least equipment of our quintet, is the

slowest in real-world performance and has the

grumpiest ride at no tangible handling benefit. It

    finishes fifth.

From here, the choice gets tricky but the Audi

A4’s fidgety ride, cramped interior and middling

equipment levels drop it below the Mercedes,

whose blissful ride, high levels of safety,

roominess and sky-high resale values make it the

    strongest of the Germans.

Which leaves silver and gold to go. For us,

the Alfa Romeo - with its unbelievably long

equipment list and sub-$50,000 price tag - is only

just pipped by the Lexus, the complete package.

Alfa Romeo has come a long way in a short

time, the 159 is proof of that. It now has classleading

value for money, is no slouch on safety

and comfort, drives beautifully and has that

intangible Italian essence which can turn a good

    car into a great one.

The overwhelming competency of the Lexus

IS250 cannot be denied. It has a sublime sixspeed

    automatic transmission compared with the

Alfa’s manual, almost matches the Alfa for value

and spaciousness, and outpoints the front-drive

Italian in all areas of real-world performance -

    ride, handling and acceleration.

The Lexus costs $6500 more than the Alfa

Romeo and that made the decision even harder.

    However, when you consider Lexus’s

unblemished record for reliability and world-class

build quality, it should come as no shock that, in

Drive’s opinion, the Lexus IS250 is Australia’s best

    prestige sedan.

  7. The door closing sound is nothing but the sound of quality. Not only the sound but also the way it "self closes/aid in closing", you only need to slightly push it and it shuts.

As i said so often, i only got the prestige model and not the luxury sports. The fact that the luxury model cost up to 20K more i feel that those who bought the luxury model (or even sports model) are those with much complaining becos they have fork out alot more money, and naturally would want it more perfect.

I should like my car more when i get new wheels....
