  1. Ok here is my 2 cents. It all boils down to what you want your car to look like or be like. If you're after springs, go with either Tiens or H & R (for low drop), Tanable or F Sports (for conservative drop). I got Tanabe springs and they are a perfect ride, not too low but alright.

If you are gonna go for wheels, i'd consider 19s over 18s for that extra gap-fill. And if you go for 19s, i recon you should get coils as with coils you can alter the drop to how you like it (without fearing camber issue as the coils you buy would have camber F&R adjustments).

  2. They were tight, no thanks to "arnold schwarzenegger" (person that put them on initially). I had thoughts about 19s before, but wasn't sure about the ride, so at the time i thought better to be safe.

As for not getting wheels from tempe, i dont have no comments on that.

As i said before i am surprised he opted for that style/setup on an IS but to each their own. I just think they suit S2Ks, NSXs, GTRs etc....these are not luxury cruisers. That's just my 2 cents.

Ps. If you find anything in my replys that suggests or implies that i think they look *BLEEP*, let me know.

  3. Cevu's answer was backed up with real live experience on his IS250 (this was what i was after), yours was somewhat based on theory (or from what you see on another car), unless you too had 8000K on your IS and came across the same experience as Cevu, then both replies are not the same.

The effect of 8000K can differ depend on brand or bulbs, and on the types eg H4 vs D4S. Can also vary car to car.

Don't take it wrongly, i'm not blaming anyone one bit, just that after i posted i had ordered the kit, people started being non passisve in their views. My immediate reply then was information only not an attack on anyone.

  4. Chris besides your 20 August 2010 - 07:23 AM reply the rest are hardly what i called concrete views. I know the higher the K the more blue the effect, and the higher the K the less the bright...these are theory.

Cevu last reply is what i called concrete.

Yes i used google but i prefer those with real experience here in Oz.

Anyway, lets see what becomes, the bulbs can be changed.

Ps. I had PIAA bulbs in my previous car and from your chart, it looks like the 8000K effect. They are bluey but not that blue so..
