  1. Hi Folks, I am having issues with the remote control not locking or unlocking the drivers door. It started 4 days ago and it would simply not lock the drivers door and I had to use the key, by the time I had go home from work it would not unlock the drivers door either. All the other doors lock and unlock with no issues using the remote control... Yes I have changed the batteries on both the keys and still doesn't work. Thanks in advance for your help.
  2. Hi there, Thanks for your inputs. I did put the disc to the right drive on the right corner underneath the floor of the boot. Ricky, did you ever get this sorted out? Like others I don't want to sound condescending but you are aware that there is no button to push on the sat nav player, it is a slide that you move from left to right. To remove slide the eject button towards the front of the car, once loaded slide the button to the back of the car. You may have tried this but in case you haven't have a go. Cheers,
  3. You made me think... on re-checking the manual (mine's a 2006 model) it does say at least 91 octane, but 95 is recommended "for better performance". I'll have to give it a try and see. We don't have 98 octane Shell around here, and the BP is always morer expensive thatn the others, so ll give the Caltex a go. Loshio I have no doubt that you are getting better fuel efficiency but how much?? I have tried all 3 (91, 98 & E10) and I notice very little difference in efficency. On my last road trip Melbourne to Bega I got about 60klms less on E10 when the vehicle was running at 8.4L/100, I was getting 630-660 out of a tank. This was just cruising speed with the odd firm foot plant to get past the caravan conveys... I have previously tried 98 and I got all of 80klms further.... At an extra 12cpl in my opinion it wasn't worth it. Different horses for different courses and if you have the money and you want to spend it go for it. For what it is worth I manage 1400 vehicles, most LC's and my account with Caltex is 450K p/m, anytime I talk to them about high octane fuels they grin from ear to ear.... I am sure they would be happy to see an extra couple of G's in my invoice each month. Cheers,
  4. OK thanks to everyone that help as I finally got it to worl. Danslex your correct, I did burn the image file to disc, but I also tried burning the folder and the contents of the folder, however this was through the windows burning tool NOT nero. It was only when i clicked on the ISO file that Nero booted up and started burning that it all worked. I have since loaded into the car and it works like a treat! Thanks again to everyone! Cheers,
  5. OK after 3 days of pulling my hair out I am still getting no where.... I have downloaded all the files, unpacked into folder with the ISO file inside, burnt to DVD+R and stick in the sat nav reader...... and all i get is "cannot read disc, please check data" Has Lexus by chance updated the software in my vehicle to stop me from using a burnt disc? I only got it serviced 3 weeks ago... Please help!!! Cheers,
  6. Poisson, I downloaded ALL 15 files from rapid share, however they are all the same file with the same file name so which one is correct? Also when i tried to burn one to disc (it was only 2.9G) the vehicle keeps coming up with no map data. Do i simply burn the ISO file or extract to individual files and burn them to disc? Thanks for you help mate, much appreciated. Cheers
  7. I have just come back from a trip to Tassie and my RX350 has at least 4 different rattles. The most annoying, which I have had from about 3 months after purchasing it is from the passenger door trim. It sounds like leather rubbing on leather. If I lean over and pull on the door handle whilst driving it stops, however not the safest way to drive! Also got serious problems with the black paint work. My dealer has offered to give it a cut and polish however I am certain they are the ones that F#*KED it up in pre delivery, I am almost certain they had grit in the buff pad. The Lexus panel beater says that it looks like I have taken it through a car wash.... Who pays $80k for a car and does that? Idiots! Anyway they are certain that they can get rid of all the scratches and "spider webbing" with a really good cut and polish, however my dealer will not pay them to do it! Other than that I haven't experienced any problems with the reversing lights being too bright, nor with the luggage cover. I must admit the car is without a doubt a bloody nice car to drive.
