  1. At this festive time of year I understand we are all extremely busy with work, family, and spending huge amounts of hard earned $ on prezzies for those dear and true to us(and this includes our cars of course ;) )

I should like to take this opportunity to offer my personal thanks to all those who have made this club(albeit still young) one of the most helpful, professional and friendly clubs I have seen for quite some time.

Whether a casual visitor who pops by from time to time,or one of the integral members whose knowledge and willingness to assist those in need, I consider everone an equal part of this clubs success-and to see it develop to this stage from what was originally nothing more than a passing thought is something that makes me realise what a great bunch of people belong to this organisation.

A special thank you to Matt Lai,Keith,4 rollin,Hoon and D1Tezza,whose interest in both the club and these cars have been invaluable in the development on the NZ scene. Also,to those Australians that have been doin great on the forums and building relationships with both fellow locals and us kiwi's-tis greatly appreciated.

I'm lucky and proud to be involved with you lot-may you all have a superb and safe christmas, recieve S/C kits or turbs in you stockings, and have a very prosperous and welcoming 2004.

    That's about it really...

    Cheers.

  2. On a slightly different note I've got one of my sets of Technics SL1200 MK2 turntables(x2) for sale, complete with a well used but fully functional Numark 3000 mixer.

The decks are just over a year old, have lived in a road case at home for most of their life, have been serviced and calibrated regularly, and come equipped with headshells, stanton 500 mk2 carts and good condition stylus.

Basically, everthing you need to begin playing vinyl-these turntable are the industry standard DJ turntable, and the the weapon of choice worldwide.

Reason for selling? As you know I'm a professional DJ,and have 3 sets of these-one set of which is never used,so I'd rather pass it on to someone that has an interest at a decent price.

    Retail listings are as follows:

    technics sl1200 mk2 turntables $1399.00 each

    Stanton Carts & Stylus (x2) $ 360.00

    Numark 3000 Mixer(when new) $699.00

So to buy this lot new would cost $3,857.00 ish.

But to anyone interested $2300.00 ono.

PM me with any questions or further details required.

    Regards,

    Gav. :gav:

  3. Heya GRE,I got a trust element(l shaped) for my 1gfe a while ago-these are a re-useable foam element and i highly recommend them unless you are going to opt for a pod type setup later on.(noticeable difference in throttle response.)

the TRD i believe is reuseable, but is still a paper element??

The trust will cost ya around 130 nz$,and is well worth every penny-Matt Lai is about to head overseas so may I suggest PM'ing him to order one for his return.

My suggestion would be to have a resonator placed mid exhaust on your car-this will lower the note at those annoying 100kph speeds.....without affecting free flow.

    Hope this may help.

    Gav. :gav:

    regards,

    gav.

  4. I'm throwing around the idea of possibly wanting to sell the personalised plate off my TRD,so I though I'd put an initial post to see if anyone would be interested in gaining the original "ALTZZA" plate for their car in NZ.

At this point I have no real idea on price, and am in no drastic hurry to sell-but if there is anyone that may be keen on a chat about it let me know.... The only reason is that I wish to get a plate to promote the business instead of the individual car.

    Just a thought....

Regards, hope all have had a good weekend.

    Cheers,

    gav :gav:

  5. I was having a chat to Matt Lai the other day and he mentioned that it was pretty hard to destroy an IS's engine....

So I think it's only fair that he leaves the club the keys to his Lexus whilst he's away overseas!!

    Time trial round the bays,anyone???

    hehehe.lol

    ;)

  6. How's the buzz in NZ at the moment guys!

100,000 people lining the streets covered in Red carpet for the World premiere of the 3rd Lord of the Rings movie-stars for miles,costumes,fly-by's by custom painted 747's....

good on ya Mr Peter Kackson I say-you've done us kiwi's proud!

The first ever screening begins in 5 minutes-wonder if my 'Tezza is up to the challenge of getting me the 600 odd KM to Wellington with time to spare to get the popcorn...???

  7. The standard 2 litre 6cyl is stable up to around 300 HP,and the UK boys are running standard auto transmissions which seem to be up the task in most cases.

I think it's gonna be tough to break 6 sec 0-100 kph-for instance one of the lads has an IS200 equipped with a TDi supercharger and Manual Gearbox, and he's pulling 6.58 sec on average. I'm squeezing 6.69 out of my N/A engine(auto),but its had a fair bit of tinkering done prior to me owning it.

    NOS will help! :D
