  1. Tis tasty....seems to bear a resemblance to the Nissan 350z.I wonder if this is the direction the majority of the larger companies will be taking with their performance line in the next couple years??

Any ideas on what'll power it?

  2. I think that as these cars are only just becoming a force here in NZ and Australia(with the import scene allowing more into the country) ANY additional information we can recieve, view, read or question is going to be warranted. The lack of performance knowledge as of yet in NZ is definately showing, and it would be great if we can lead the way by learning all we can,and putting it into practise!!!

    I agree-my vote,all of the above! B)

  3. Not familiar with the name, but know plenty of Auto -related people on the shore. Will make some enquiries into this company's work and relationships with supporting businesses in the area first thing in the morning and post results for you ASAP....

Hope this can help you determine whether it safe to drop your car there!!

  4. Well that was fun!!

Did my first ever decent open highway run from Auckland to Hamilton yesterday, and although I've done it before in my previous '98 as200 this car is a new ball game!

Car is immaculate in respect to handling through low and high speed corners-the tuned factory suspension package has definately been well thought out.My previous car had a tendancy to "load up" the rear suspension when pushed harder than normal in tighter corners, resulting in a "pogo" effect-this car suffers minimal body roll whilst maintaining comfort and suffers NO adverse effects! Steering is suprisingly nuetral also....

Power delivery also is much different-it's music to the ear to hear this car pulling stronger the further into the rev range you venture-transmission caters pretty well, but am thinking the addition of a decent oil cooler may prolong life and (perhaps) add to the quality of the shifting under harder spells of driving.

The Tyres I've placed(new Falcons) are up to the measure also, never once showing signs of the limits through the extensive back road section-well within tolerance levels for road noise also at highway speeds.

All in all-I'm no Le-mans driver, but this car would inspire me to feel like I could push the boundries with a level of confidence NONE of my previous cars have been able to offer(and there's been some decent ones at that!)

    Stoked!

Big thanks to 4rollin who took the time to meet up and have a quick chat-great to meet members outside of Auckland when I get the chance.

Just as a comparison- (and only during a passing section) 125 KPH is only showing 3000 rpm... is this comparable with a standard car? Wondering if my transmission has been altered in any way....

    Cheers people,

    Gav.

  5. And..... I'm Back!

I'm on Auckland's North Shore, but most of my time I'm kickin around the city.

Not too many mods to my ride done here in NZ yet,(av only and eyelids),but they did the job pretyy dang well over in Japan! It's in my sig- YAY 4 TRD!!!

Couple of little tricks on their way.....sssssshhhhh......

    Regards,

    Gav

  6. Hey people-wishing to offer my apologies to all that have been trying to contact me over the last week. The joys of buying, moving, and working have taken their toll and I have been in the custody of Shore Care(medical facility) with a somewhat nasty virus"highly recommends not catching"

Still not a hundred, but back online-Big thank you to Greeneyes and lSportlineis300 for all they've been doing to assist all members and promote the club whilst I've been M.I.A.

    ....forgive me....

    Regards,Gav

  7. Hey there! Welcome to the club-I got the sperate single din head unit bracket from Rapid Radio in Newton,Auckland(09)303 1838. 2x din units could be a bit of a tight squeeze, but if you pop in(if you are local to Auckland),speak to james and tell him I sent ya down, and you are a member of the LOC he'll sort you out with full info, and wether it will all fit!

    Regards,Gav.
