  1. A few questions

    1. What does Lexus of chatswood charge to supply and fit the joez exhaust? Assuming since they are fitting an aftermarket product, warranty is not void?

    2. Does fitting the exhaust only make a much louder noise? There aren't any other improvements to the power correct?

    1. Not to sure what they charge, But i would guess being a business they would have overheads and would charge a little extra to supply the exhaust . then fitment of the exhaust, would prob be a few hours labour. ( which should vary as the 02 sensors can either come straight out, or be a absolute bitch to get out , the latter taking longer of course)

Was told there were no probs regarding exhaust and warranty .

    2. Yes the exhaust is a bit louder, however the U.S guys are reporting gains of "up to 25 whp" and i got 278 kws at the wheels with just a JoeZ intake (which i have for sale ) and exhaust .

See from my pics below , the JoeZ exhaust is a damn nice looking bit of kit...

You can see the secondary Cats which are a massive restriction in the system, removing these gains power

The elbow here where the pipes go from one back out to two pipes, is a crazy tight bend.. also a restriction....!

You can see the flat pipe here, Which pipe you think would flow better.?

  2. Still no mention of pricing? :)

Dave, the JoeZ fitted to my car was one of the first imported into Aussie, i know this cause i imported it myself :D , price was $1599, plus freight.. which made the total around the $2200 mark, but then i saved a fair bit by fitting it myself...

  3. Did someone say beers? Im up for that .! :D

Maybe meet at Hurricanes epping for some ribs , -Everyone loves Ribs.! then head into the city for a night cruise. you guys can show me all the camera hot spots.!

But i def want some smick pics of my F.

Hopefully have some headers by then....

    Richie

  4. There are plenty available, but I personally like my JoeZ exhaust which i imported from the states. They are available thru Chatswood Lexus , call and chat to Sid in service and he should be able to hook you up.

Ive even had police comment on how tough the car sounds..... :D

  5. After getting a quote of $865 for pads (trade price) at my local Lexus Dealer, I did some research thru a mate of mine(owns a Brake shop) and he got me a set of Hawk pads for around $350. Retail on the factory pads was $1000.

If you keen for a set of pads , that are just as good on the track as they are on the street and cuts down the dust like night and day difference, Pm me, i might even get a group buy going thru him.

  7. I think your right, it's either manual or auto mode.. I know auto is a tad boring,, manual mode, sport mode , VDIM off, you can bake 3rd gear...can't wait till headers are available!

Sport mode is def like a throttle controller , and it sharpens up the steering a touch...of course when u stopped or at walking pace it's very light for parking... But at speed you can def feel it.

  8. Hey guys,

I've also felt it stiffen up the steering feel .. Even just a touch.. But mostly just sharpens up the shifts, like in normal mode, it flares the gear change , but in sport it's like its dumping the clutch!

Plus true it's like it's running a throttle controller.

Try turning off the VDIM all together and take it for a blat... You will see just how much the VDIM actually does!

  9. Ahh so that was you Malibu , picking up your ISF on Tuesday! Sounded gorgeous!

I was picking up my blue ISF , I've had the JoeZ fitted for quite a while now.

Yes the intake was removed for a clean up, can def feel some difference in the upper part of the Rev range!

Am now awaiting some headers, and some other bolt on goodies!

    Regards

    Richie!

  10. Hey guys,

Yes intake was sent for porting, polishing , but from what im told by the guys at chatswood it was a *BLEEP*ty job , so they fixed it up for me (Legends they are)

Oh hey Mikenbn, I assume yours was the other ISF with the nasty sounds coming from the exhaust ... I love it .!

Do you hav any other mods done to yours.? I do hav a spare JoeZ intake here (make an offer if your keen )

Not sure if the intake mod made any power till we Dyno it in a few weeks.

Will keep u guys in the loop .!

  11. Hey guys, I've been doing some work with hurricane headers, and while it's only early days, but I've ordered a set of manifold gaskets, and now I'm waitin on a pair of flanges to be made up...

They tell me we could make them up to bolt up to the stock system, with cats built it... I'm hoping to gauge some serious interest here, and so I'm putting it out there... Details are to follow...

  12. Hey guys,

Just thought Id add my 2c worth ,

I live in Western Sydney, And after the service Ive got at Chatswood, i cant imagine taking my ISF anywhere else, They are prompt and the service is second to none, They guys in sales are great and really know there stuff.

I have been to another dealer in Sydney back when i was looking for a ISF and one salesman told me it had a 11 litre engine, an used only 5 litres per hundred kms.

And that the 8 speed transmission gave the car more power, and here i was thinking only a flux capacitor could do that ..lol.

True what your saying, sometime the loan cars are dirty , Ive only ever had one that was,a RX350, (which my partner and I were considering buying one, so it gave another thing to think bout when we came to wash it ..)

But over all, I cant fault the service there , in fact I told a mate who is national sales manager for a large light globe company bout it and they are adopting ideas to suit there business.

    Regards

    Richie

  13. Well thanks for asking, I went and caught up with the guys who were looking into making me a set of headers, they said it can be def done, but they would need a car for at least a week .

However,Im thinking of getting myself a set from Sikky in the states, and getting them trial fitted, to see what needs to be changed etc. However Im told that there are RHD sets being R&D at the moment in the states also .

But i will keep you guys in the loop.

Will get pics when i get silicone intake .
