  1. I have a set of 19" F sport forged rims with P Zero tires in this section. pm me if interested
  2. Forgot to mention in order to fit the F Sport brakes to standard rims spacers are required for the front at least, possibly the rear depending on the model/rim offset. Spacers are included, the type that bolt to the hub with separate bolts for the rims.

  4. Hi, The mechanical LSD was fitted to the MY10 models, from around August 09. Also come with the USB input. Mechanical diff definitely a plus on the track. ISF more balanced track car than the c63.
  5. Hi, There are plenty of threads discussing particular mods to the ISF such as the exhaust. Thought it might be interesting/useful to see all the mods everyone has done to their ISF in one thread. To kick off, I have the following mods; F Sport big brake kit with 2 piece rotors front/rear Figs rear Mega arms and toelink kit Super pro front lower bushes and upper ecentric bushes KWv3 F sport forged wheels. Pirelli Trofeo 235 front 255 rear Standard wheels with spacers( to clear calipers) PPE Headers, standard exhaust with custom X pipe delete secondary cats Icode intake and filter Flat bottomed carbon topped steering wheel F sport carbon shift knob For me pretty close to the perfect set up for daily driver and occasional track days.
  6. Plenty of exhaust options. Ultimately depends what you want, and prepared to trade off to get it. For me as a daily driver the combination of headers and Joe Z was too loud and drones at avg commuting speed. I know some of the guys who have this set up are putting extra sound deadening in the boot to reduce the in car noise. I have settled on the PPE headers, standard exhaust with a custom X pipe which removes the secondary cats. Nice sound, not too loud and reasonable for daily driving. Haven't dynoed it to compare to the full PPE/JOE Z set up but definatley more responsive.
  7. Agree with Mikes comments on the KW. I had an issue with my first set replaced under warranty no questions and no problems since. I agree the quality of the KW is a step up from the Tiens. I am running a track set up at the moment. Not too bad on the daily commute but too stiff for some enthusisatic driving on back roads. I am about to change the set up and have CPC put on the Figs engineering mega arms, toe links and stiffer bushings plus an ecentric upper bushing to get more front end camber.
  8. The car is pretty well balanced . Oversteer/understeer depends on application of power. You will have no issue getting the back out on the skip pan with application of power. The LSD makes it quite controllable once you get the back out. It is not as easy as it looks though but a lot of fun practicing !
  9. Went out to the skid pan at Eastern Creek Friday night. Perfect venue for the ISF and a great way to learn more about car control. Would anyone be interested in organizing a Lexus day at the skid pan with an instructor? Also of interest of the 10 cars there the only ones that had no mechanical or heat issues were the Lexus, Porsches and McLaren. Actually the McLaren did have heat issues....... Blue flames shooting out the exhaust.
  10. 3 groups running 20 minute sessions thru the day. Plenty of track time. Usually get 5 to 6 Lexus turning up. Good day hope to see you there. Also worth doing a skid pan day, something to get Chatswood Lexus onto.
  11. Hi I am going on the 30th. Done a few of the events O'Neill days, good events. Always get an interesting line up of cars. Luke runs an ISF himself. More ISFs the better. Check your insurance, it is a grey area. Some policies cover advance driver training others dont. Instructors are availble and the beginners group gets a lap of the track with instructors first up then they are optional. It is not a Lexus sanctioned event. Of all the event I have been to the Events O'Neill are the best run, no overtaking by consent properly policed and due to the expensive machinery everyone plays nicely. As you say Rob , got to try it once.. be warned you are likely to get hooked.... then start playing with the car to make it faster....
  12. Had the same issue. Drive belts slipping under load apparently.
  13. I am interested. Might be worth talking to Sid at Chatswood Lexus about rounding up a few more. If we need numbers I can probably rustle up a few non Lexus exotics. Add interest to the day. Are you looking at exclusive track hire? If sufficient interest also hire a few instructors.
  14. HI, I did the opposite, the forged rims for the track as they are lighter, OEM with spacers for the road. Wasnt keen on rolling the guards but would be interested to see the result. Who is fitting the KW's if you dont mind asking? Have you sourced semislicks for the OEM size? Limited options but running standard offset you can fit a wider tyre. I ended up with standard size p zero corsa. Without camber adjustment we have found need to run very high pressures. Which track days do you do? There are a few ISFs at the Burrows Drive days at EC, next one next Wednesday. Chatswood Lexus also organising a few drive and track days.
  15. Hi Mike, At least 2 of us in here are running KWs, myself and Luke. We have been playing with and comparing setups. They are a big improvement over the standard suspension plus fully adjustable so you can set them up depending on how you want to use the car. We are currently playing with a track set up. Luke is running standard rims. I have a set of the US F sport Forged rims needed to clear the F sport brakes. I also have the standard rims on a set of spacers, originally 20 mm but shaved down. You can run, just, 20mm spacers on the standard rims on the standard suspension. There was a set of F sport forged rims for sale on one of the forums, I can probably dig out the details. I know there also be a set of KWs avaialble due to change of distributor and ordering error. Also looking at doing some custom top mount arms to adjust camber. Where are you located? PM me for more info.
  16. Pipes are made of Stainless steel . Nice job too. Defiantely improved throttle response, sounds better. Keen to give it proper test at the track next Wednesday. Hopefully a few standard ISF there to compare notes with.
  17. Most decent drive days, certainly ones that are properly run, with instructors, are in the order of $400 - $500. So for the extra $295 you get 2 mechanical checks, and an oil change. If you look after your car this is pretty standard for a track day so what might seem expensive is actually reasonable value. Plus they will be on hand at the track to adjust tyre pressures and look after the car. If you bought an ISF the only place you can use anywhere near its full potential is on the track. Give it a go , it will blow you away and you will be hooked. You will need to service the car more regularly and go thru brakes/tyres more quickly then you will want to start playing with it... The ISF is built for the track and has no issues with a track day, you only run 20 min session at a time and unless you are a semi professional driver you wont be putting much additional stress on the car. Open the bonnet to cool the car between session and dont put the handbrake on. A track day and doing laps with an instructor will also put your driving ability into perspective. You will learn a lot and be a safer driver. Added bonus is the exotic machinery at the day and the O'Neill days are often attended by the distributors, the Ferrari 458 was there last year before the official Australian launch plus the only Pagani Zonda in Australia makes the occasional appearance. I got into drive days 3 years ago and after destroying a BMW ( under warranty) bought the ISF becuase of its ability to take drop the kids at school on the way to the track and pick them up on the way home. Its a great day away from the office, socialising with other car enthusiasts. All I can say is give it a go once and you will be back. The more ISf we can get over time the mre leverage we will have on price. I was already booked for the drive day before the invitation came out. If you dont want the Lexus service etc go direct to the drive day organisers such as Events O'Neil or Driving Solutions.
  18. Quicker than anticipated, I have now had the custom X pipe installed. Secondary cats removed. Picked up car this morning so will give more detailed feedback after weekend but thought I would get some pics up. Great work by the boys at City Performance Centre Artarmon. Initial impressions are that the throttle response is improved and that nice V8 sound more distictive but not over the top. No drone or increase in sound when cruising. As an aside did anyone know that we have a twin walled exhasut?
  19. Seeing the interest in the headers/exhaust I have made a few further enquiries. Apparently an ecu tune is needed to realise the best gains from headers/exhaust if not just for sound. The lexus ecu hasnt yet been cracked but it is being worked on. Subject to interest and some costing details I am looking at embarking on a develeopment process for the exhaust. First step is to dyno the car stock, then drop the exhaust off and dyno again to see what sort of gains can be made. If the results are promising then next step would be to look at x pipe on standard set up and go from there. ECU maybe cracked by then..... Intention is to develop a standard set of mods if sufficient interst. First step is to work out how to properly dyno the car.... Keep you posted but expect long and irregular process. If any interest in particiapting pm me.
  20. Malibu, plenty of track options. Driving Solutions ( 21 Feb) , Events O'Neil( 23rd Feb) both run at Eastern Creek. My preference is the Event O'Neil days added bonus the organiser runs and ISF. I cant make either in Feb but will be doing some days in March. Let me know if you are interested in doing some days as also a few other groups that organise their own days both at the creek and Wakefield.
  21. I have been looking for aftermarket parts for a while and avialibility is pretty limited. City Performance Centre at Artarmon are looking at ISF parts at the moment. Luke at events O'Neil runs an ISF and may have some info on parts as well. Also the service manager at Chatswood Lexus.... Have a look at the ISF parts on the US site. Brakes and wheels fit.. for worthwhile improvement. KWV3 coilovers help put the power down and offer an improved ride.
  22. Nice drive to run it in Blacky. I took mine up to Tweed heads a few months ago via Buckets/Thunderbolts way Grafton Lismore. Great roads in parts but pretty bumpy in others. Needless to say the ISF got a hiding and I was pleasantly surprised how rattle/squeak free it was and how stiff it felt. Fuel consumption was well into the teens though Plenty of bugs but I had the ozi cozi film fitted and they washed straight off and no stone chips. Recommend the stuff as the large front end prone to chips. Also came across local council lawn mowing , result chip in the windscreen More I drive it more I think the ISF is a great all round performance car , as do EVO, see last months comparision with C63 and new Audi RS5. Drop the kids at school , then head off to Eastern creek for the day , pick them up in the afternoon. Not many cars can do that. :D
  23. Bit further up at Willoughby. Purchased the ISF from Lexus of Chatswood. There are a few lurking round the North Shore now , a few non standard... would be good to organise a get together to compare. Maybe a run at Eastern creek ?
  24. Hey Dogmatix, yes coming from my loved 130 but looking forward to the new beast. The 1er is going to a new home with another 1addict member so heres hoping he gets looked after well, at least we will get a roof over his head. I am sure the ISF will be a better but and at about double the price I should hope so ;) . One thing I am looking forward to, well at least for a while is no changing gears. Would have liked to have purchased an updated model but the superseded price was too good to go past, without this special price I don't think I could have justified the car to myself. Oh well only a couple of days and all will be revealed. Cheers for the welcome. Blacky, you won't be disapointed, very differnt beast. Unlike the 130i the ISF has more grunt than grip on the track. At first I thought I would miss self shifting but after a few runs the "flappy paddles" have won me over on the track , slip it into auto for the drive to work. Also the ISF is bullet proof, big selling point and great value for money as you have found. One of the guys who has worked on my car left Lexus because he was bored of only doing services. Interested to see how you find it after a few days. Cheers
