Sub in the boot - i did look at replacing the stock sub but I cbf looking for a free air 8" sub. Given that the sub is on the rear parcel shelf, it is exposed to sun and heat = possible cracking of the surround I to am looking for a bit more bass too.Where did you install it and what brand did you get installed? I did this myself - I had some old gear from my previous car so instead of it collecting dust in the garage or selling it off for pennies, I used it in the Lex. I'm running all Rockford Fosgate P3D4-12 sub powered by RF P1000X1bd amp. The rest of the system is stock (for now) and the signals to the amp come off the ML amp via a Hi to Low converter. At the moment, the sub is in a .box and amp just in the compartment where you have your spare tools in the boot. When i get round to it, i will build a proper amp rack and new box for the boot so it sits as far back into the back seat as possible so I still have a full size boot. I never would of have thought I would get back into car audio but after stumbling accross Steve Meade and what he did to his ISF, I had the itch again http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142076-ubllexus-is-f-sound-system-install-featured-in-performance-auto-sound-mag-page-6/

Are you willing to post them if I pay

Your right, there was a recall but this was only for the US, i did speak to Lexus about mine but because mine was out of warranty, they wouldnt fix it without charge. They did try to sell me the warranty package but I couldnt justify $1800 for 2-3 years additional warranty. Since I did my oil change myself, I have not heard the rattle, which is a great sign there must be something to do with Lexus' oil they use.

I wouldnt go el-cheapo on the kit as well. You can pick up a decent kit for about $50 bucks on ebay these days - metal housing for the ballast and i suggest you get the AC voltage not DC. I suggest sticking with sellers that are in Australia with local stock than buying from OS. I wouldn't be going any higher than 6000K for the globes, any higher will produce a blue tinge and the boys in blue may slap a defect for it I recently bought a kit for my fog lights only to find out they came from yum cha land and they were faulty, it was a pain in the backside to get a refund. I bought my kit from this guy - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/120489692979?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Installation is straight forward, there are a few links on how to as well as on you tube.

I needed to save some money so I did my 75K service myself using all OEM parts I bought from Lexus besides the oil. The fuel and oil filters cost me $145 and oil about $70 (Castrol Edge). Oil change is straight forward to do but changing the fuel filter takes a bit more time. To change the fuel filter, the back seat needs to be removed, fuel pump/filter housing removed from fuel tank and taking the assembly apart. If the local mechanic has not done one of these changes before, they may not know what to do and not change it at all. The only way for you to check if they done it is to remove the fuel pump/filter housing from the tank. Took me over an hour to change out my fuel filter.. made sure the tank was near empty as well.

Hi Guys, Most of us know of the issue with the IS250 start up engine rattle. I've had it since I bought the IS250 18 months ago and even after getting her serviced at Lexus Melbourne, the rattle doesn't go away - usually happens on cold mornings. Wanted to save some money on the 75K service, I did it myself using all OEM parts but I used Castrol Edge 5w-30 (they were on sale at Repco). Since I did the oil change myself over a week ago, I have not heard the rattle even with the cold Melbourne mornings we have had recently. I did hear it rattle quite a bit when i first started her up after the oill change but nothing since! Not sure if is the oil that makes a difference (Lexus OEM and Castrol Edge) but glad I dont hear the start up rattle any more (dont want to jinx myself...)

It depends on how the wiper arms are, if they are in still good condition, then you can just replace the blades only. I went with the Bosch Aero Twin and its great.. I did buy el-cheapo for the missus Yaris and its not as good... you get for what you pay for... Just dont get it replaced by Lexus... I heard $60 bucks for just replacement rubber only

Just bringing up a old thread... Trying to save cost's where I can (getting hitched next year) - going to do the 75K service myself or take the parts to a local mechanic get it logged booked. Dropped by Lexus Melbourne City today and picked up a Fuel Filter (LX-2330031140) for $120.93 & Oil Filter (LX-0415231080) for $24.89 inc GST

Does it not respond to touches but the screen lights up when going through the menu's etc I had the same problem a couple of months ago - replacement screens are a couple hundred shipped from OS. Replacement OEM units are even more There are a few instructions online on how to fix the screen. (http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/69937-repaired-navigation-touch-screen/) Only costed me $25-$30 for the circuit writer pen from jaycar - a few hours If you were in Melbourne, i could fix it for you... for a fee =)
