Had the new is350 F Sport yesterday, very comfortable, quiet etc but sluggish under acceleration. Got back into my 2012 is350 it was like a rocket ship by comparison, very quick, very responsive. I wouldn't clean swap it for the new one.

Haven't posted here for a while, still have the 2012 is350 Tried the new one ,don't like it. but I do like Lexus so I hope there's a better replacement in the next 12 months, perhaps someone has an opinion.

I'm told you can use the iPhone app Tune in Radio to connect to your radio in the 2012 is350 and it gives you a digital signal free of noise, anyone know how to do this ?

Just had the new is350 for a day while my 2012 is 350 was being serviced, I prefer my car. The new one is bigger and the dash layout is awful... Good value for the money but I prefer my model.

Looks ok, I'll have a closer look when I wash it soon. This mob did it so I presume they know what they're doing, they said the stuff used on the wheels wasn't too strong so they didn't have to strip the wheels first, just paint. www.advancedalloys.com.au

I didn't pay anything not even an excess, the alloy repairers told the insurance company what the problem was and they will recover from them. Cost ? Don't know didn't ask.

Wheels fixed, repainted, verdict some wheels should only be washed in soap and water, these are in that category.

Insurance already told me there will be no excess payable and they took the carwash details. I'm not concerned,. Taking someone to fair trading is a pain and it doesn't mean you'll get your money even if you win. Taking it for assessment tomorrow, I get a hire car free too. I'll let you know how it ends up.

Putting it through insurance, they can deal with them.

Seems the wheels are actually painted so they need repainting, about $1500, now for Shine to take responsibility.

I'll go in with support from Lexus. I'm not looking forward to these people using backyarders to work on my car. Might see if Lexus can fix it and I'll get the carwash to pay.

Why did it take so long for the damage to show up ? It was ok when I left the car wash.....I didn't look but I presume it didn't look like it does now,

Just spoke to the carwash again, I think he realises that what you say is true, he sounded a little sheepish, I said I'd wait for a ruling from Lexus to confirm.....getting money out of them may be a different matter,

I think you're right, I'll get a verdict from Lexus then go in for a claim. What would it cost, rubbed back and clear coated again ???

Have a look at my rear RHS alloy wheel. Came back from a trip yesterday, went to a Shine car wash next morning my wheel is heavily marked and it will not come off, went back to the car wash they couldn't get it off but off course it's not their fault. The other 3 wheels have very slight marking in spots and that wont come off either. Any opinions ?

The new model looks impressive but I only do 10k a year in short trips, I should have a Getz :)

Present car is under finance, I took the 2.9% deal on offer a year ago, that's another reason not to change I guess.
