Given that you are now a happy customer I think your original post is at the least highly unfair.
You should have spoken to them first before posting up accusations and slandering their business.
I would be editing it if I was you, for your own benefit and that of the forum......not sure of the course of action that could be taken if it is left up.
Especially after you then post it was "a mix up" which can happen.
Maybe next time you could do as tony1234 posted and give the benefit of the doubt.......before firing off.
Or try getting BMW to give you the service Lexus of Chatswood have.

I should edit my post to show that they did nothing wrong? And hide the facts? Should I say it was of no fault of theirs so that their reputation is not damaged? So it’s all of a sudden no one’s fault since they have corrected the wrong? Interesting concept and look on life you have there!
I am happy I now have tints yes, I am very pissed off and not happy that i went 12 months without the tint that i had paid for all under finance and have paid interest on. I am not happy that my children have had to put up with the sun glaring in their faces without tint for the last 12 months. Im pissed that the car was delivered and confirmed it had tints when it didn’t! Even after questioning at delivery! This I cannot
get over!
If you want to get really technical lets break it down and see who is in the wrong, being to harsh... I believe i have been more than generous enough, and polite enough with the way i have handled this whole situation, and if you are implying that i could be taken to court which is what i assume as what you mean by a "course of action" for “Slandering” their business or making “accusation” which were actually FACTS OF EVENTs? Then I am very happy to have a logical debate, or even go to court and have it out. I fully back what I have wrote in the OP to anyone or a court/judge.
I have every right to share my experience and FACTS of events which have occurred to me, I make no apologies for feeling ripped off, short changed and pissed off. If someone sells you something and you have 3 separate forms of evidence that the product is as you agreed on
1. Contract of sale,
2. Email confirming tint has been applied,
3. Verbal on final hand over/delivery confirming it is as per agreement.
Then by definition this is an act of
1.
Deceit
Deception, beguilement, deceit, bluff, mystification and subterfuge are
acts to propagate beliefs that are not true, or not the whole truth (as in half-truths or omission). Deception can involve dissimulation, propaganda, and sleight
of hand, as well as
distraction, camouflage, or concealment. There is also self-deception, as in bad faith.
Deception is a major relational transgression that often leads to feelings of betrayal and distrust between relational partners. Deception violates relational rules and is considered to be a negative violation of expectations. Most people expect friends, relational partners, and even strangers to be truthful most of the time. If people expected most conversations to be untruthful, talking and communicating with others would require distraction and misdirection to acquire reliable information. A significant amount of deception occurs between romantic and relational partners.[1]
Con
A confidence trick (synonyms include confidence scheme and scam) is an attempt to defraud a person or group after first gaining their confidence, in the classical sense of trust (Latin: con-fidere). A confidence
artist (or con artist) is an individual, operating alone or in concert with others, who exploits characteristics of the human psyche such as dishonesty, honesty, vanity, compassion, credulity, irresponsibility, naïveté, or greed.
Or a complete cock up!
"Before posting up accusations"? What i posted happened it is not something that I made up and might have happened it is not a half-truth! How could I accuse them of not putting on tints? When there was no tint on my car. ? that is called FACT!
Again
1. I questioned them on delivery if it had tint i was told yes
2. I had Tints listed on my contract of sale
3. I had emails requesting the % of tint i wanted and had confirmation which % tint would be applied.
You make it sound like i state that i made accusations in my OP, and that somehow speaking to them first would have changed the facts!. Show me where and how my accusations are false or untrue please? I’ am happy to be proven wrong and out of line. Describing the facts of event last time i checked was no crime.
I was being very polite and generous by classifying it as a “mix up” when it really wasn’t just a mix up! How can it be a mix up when they confirm tints on delivery? Someone obviously made a big mistake! Someone was at fault, I was told something that was not TRUE on delivery!
I purchased the car 12 months ago! It is only because of my actions to get darker tint that I discovered I had no tints! Think about it for a minute!
If I go to sell the car and say it has tints, then I could be held liable for false advertising and selling a false product to someone else!
The mistake, mix up whatever you want to call it you cannot disguise it, was by definition an act whether intentionally or not intentionally an act of deception! I was told it had tints when it didn't! This made me feel short changed/ripped off, conned, and that i had dealt with a dodgy dealer.. You cannot change the definition or the facts or the feelings of a customers experience!
How would you like it if I sold you an Iphone 5s but 12 months later you work out its actually an Iphone4s or iphone 5?, and you questioned me before handing the money over if it was actually and iphone 5s
which I confirmed it was then took your money… Would you say that is called being “ripped off” an act of “deception?” an act of a “Con?”
I had forgiven them, but I will not forget! With still a bad taste in my mouth from the situation and try to move on. However if people want to tell me I have done wrong here and that I have unfairly and harshly slandered their business by posting up facts and feelings as a customer about the experience then I must be living in the wrong country!
I am prepared to humbly accept (as hard as it is given the facts of the situation especially when getting confirmation at delivery) that they didn’t intentionally deceit me and that it was a complete lack of professionalism
and a VERY big mistake/screw up on their behalf! Otherwise I would have continued with my line of posting that yes they intentionally tried to deceit me and have now had to come clean that I have confronted them 12 months after delivery.
I have edited my OP for to make you HAPPY.. however as per this post and the definitions of the facts and events that occurred I had every right to post it and share my experience and gain feedback from others who may have had gone through a similar situation. More to the point that people still need to be very careful and unfortunately double/triple or even check 4 times every detail, even when dealing with very good reputable businesses.
The facts are the facts whether you like it or not! Issue has been resolved and i am happy i now have the product I should have had, and that they were quick to resolve it and apologised.. It doesnt change the fact it happened !
I thought forums were for people to share experiences and give advise etc..
