  1. I must say that the ride with my Apexi N1 is far superior to the standard setup. The kit comes standard with 11kgf/mm springs for the front and 9 kgf/mm in the rear. I believe the only thing I still need to do is the swaybars.

    I had no real problem on the wet winding roads on the cruise, the only issue would have been that I had to raise the car another 20 mm the night before to allow for the *BLEEP*ty rough backroads and the fact I had no time to get a wheel alignment done, so that did effect the feel a little.

    The only times the car stepped out of line was when I fully intended on it happening

  2. Oh yeah, how rude of me....Welcome to the club Lisa! Im glad you have seen the light and converted to style from unreliable power.

    If you win Lotto...Can I have a turbo too? :D

    Maybe us aucklanders could cruise to the Waikato one weekend???

  3. Hey now, thats enough of the grandad talk there buddy, Im not having anymore birthdays, from now on life will be one big long year, so forever 29! the dreaded 30 shall never come <_<

    Anyway cheers dude

    Aaron. :ph34r:

  4. Love the humour in this room, good call Diane.

    Well it would be obv to me that you are wanting shift out this way, to the way of the east folk.

    I will keep my ears open for you.

    Stephen.

    cheers Stephen, I dont really want to move out there, its the cat, he likes the female felines out that way ;)

  5. Hmmm, OK Richard. I've got traction control anyway.

    Aaron, how do you know you have an LSD in your Hoonmobile?

    I know it is by the way it skids in gravel and on the wet roads, If it was an open non-LSD then only the wheel with the least load would spin.

    toyota uses a Torsen LSD which is a TORque SENsing LSD. They are a very good thing, as they always spread the torque evenly between both wheels at all times, so even if you have one tyre on ice and the other on tarmac, both wheels will spin evenly.

    If you jack the car up and spin the wheels you wouldnt think it is a LSD if you are used to the old clutch type LSD which uses friction to lock the two wheels and would make it really tight to turn.

    There are a couple of different ways of getting the LSD to work - There are the options of a '1 way, 1.5 way, or 2 way'. What this means is that with a '1 way', you only get the LSD action when under power. A '1.5 way' has a little LSD action when on trailing throttle. (good for controlling the car when cornering) And finally the '2 way', which is the drift driver's dream, as the car will want to slide everywhere. ;) Not the fastest way to get around a corner, but it looks pretty cool and *BLEEP*loads of fun.

  6. Hey guys, I also love getting the altezza into a bit of sideways action, but because its to dangerous on the open road and therefore on the pocket when caught, I am looking for a willing car enthusiastic farmer to lend us a small piece of grass for a grass gymkhana.

    They are alot of fun and it also teaches a bit of car control, so when I find a farmer willing I shall let you know

    ps. Its also nicer on the tires :)

  7. I definitely think simple is better - less words the better. Focus around the URL/logo if possible (Can you get the top left logo on the forums, but with nz.lexusownersclub.com underneath perhaps?)

    And rather than a sentence, maybe bullet points (with alternating Lexus and Toyota symbols as the bullets, perhaps?) with

    * Information & advice

    * Club outings

    * Group buy discounts

    * Lexus, Altezza, Soarer, equivalent owners - all welcome!

    * [Japanese txt]

    Do you think the phone numbers are needed? Not meaning to rain on your parade at all, but it might look more professional if it just had a single contact email of info@nz.lexusownersclub.com (or something). Would help to reduce clutter.

    Def needs a prominent pic of a cool Lexus or Altezza too. *nods*

    just my 2c. :D

    I also think less is better. deffinitly need the logo, web address, pic of nice car/s and maybe a list of cars welcome on the back or something,
