  1. :( rear muffler, rear guard, damaged left side radiator(yet to be repaired, can wait till after supacross), already repaired big dents in exhaust expansion chamber, also got new front tire( the cause os the situation) ;) and getting one number plate redone at the signwriters

p.s. Should be getting my crusty ticket dropped off tommorrow night :)

  2. yeah, Im meant to be going.

The crustys are supposed to be riding out at ardmore mx track on sunday so i hope to be there as well.... I need to fix my bike first... $600 worth of damage to it from racing on sunday :(

  3. OHHH *BLEEP*!!! I forgot about the dampening for my TEIN are going to get in the way of my Strut bar too then huh?? DAMN!! : I just bought it too

If its JIC you should be OK, it looks like its only the TRD and the C-One aluminiun strut braces that will be a problem with the adjustible dampening valves on top of the strut.

Im not to sure though about the tein electronic control system though if you have it on yours

  4. Yeah Franco, get the problem ones to me and I will get my buddies there to take a look at them for you.

I had the wheel alignment today and its just magic, I could never go back to how it was before. The ride is what i call perfect for our crappy roads, I took it for a blast through the back roads tonight and in corners where it felt dodgy at 120 it flew around confidently at an unmentionable speed.

Yes I have a 4 week old TRD strut brace for sale, Matt is in charge of selling it for me so he can get me another brand with the money.

Hayden do you have a cusco strut brace? do you have pics?

I will either get a cusco or C-One depending on what looks the best quality and strength

  5. I am a happy man today, I installed my new apexi N1 Type V coil overs last night and have test driven it just now....wow... what a difference. Its like going from driving a boat on the rough west coast to driving the car on rails.

with the height they came set at its lowered it about 20-25mm alround, now im waiting till this afternoon to get a wheel alignment.

I suggest anyone with over about 60000kms, get rid of the standard shocks and springs

    :)

the only bad point is that now I cant use my TRD strut brace because of the dampening adjusters on the strut, So now Matt has to source me another one to suit. :(

  6. I brought some "Mothers" car wash and bottle of Mothers wax. My great intentions to wash my new car twice a week has somehow dropped back to once a week (yes, some people told me so!!! hehe) smile.gif Is there a general rule as to how often I should wax my car??

Mothers is my preferred choice, probably because its all I have ever used.

soon the washing will drop back to once a month :D

with the waxing it really depends on how often you want to do it I guess.

Like Matt said it rains here nearly every second day so I dont put to much effort into it, I will only wash and dry it.

When going out to impress I will use the full mothers system, Wash and dry, Pre wax clean which removes old wax etc, seal and glaze which "adds depth and shine", then finally Wax. The whole system takes me about 2.5 hours and is very tiring but the resullts are worth it. :)

  7. Ive been giving the car a bit of a hard time through some back roads with the new TRD strut bar and Im positive that the suspension feels like it is working a lot better in the rough stuff, its sort of hard to explain, maybe like its more sensitive with the struts actually taking all the impact.

I cant wait now to get some decent shocks, springs and sway bars.

  8. AAARRRRGGGGHHH ! :o

I took my car into the dealer yesterday to have the rubber bushes replaced with firmer polyurethene ones. Got a call last nite saying that their garage replaced all the bushes (as agreed) but found that my front right shock is "shot". So they are going to replace "all" of my suspension with some "good stuff". Hmmmm.

Am going down to sort it out. If what they say is true, I want to know what they consider is good stuff, AND get my orginal coilovers back. If the front right was shot, I think they can be repaired/ reconditioned?

Being a newbie with this type of thing, anyone got any advice?

    Hi Franco

what brand are your coil overs? make sure you get them back. where in NZ are you. you should give them to Autolign in auckland to look at, they are the professionals when it comes to rebuilding suspension
