Haha, thanks mate, will have a look on the US site. Yeah ill see what the dealers can come up with, but at this stage after some thought overnight will probably stay in this car and drop a LSD into it in time :-)

I'm selling mine - MY11 if you're interested. Very low k's as well.

If you're interested, see the post in the Buy / Sell section.

  2. - Nov 2010/MY 11

    - Black - Orange accents (rare and fantastic looking)
    - Low Mileage <60,000 Kms
    - Full Service books available - All with Lexus Dealer
    - My 11 which has all the suspension updates
    - Near New Lexus Front Rotors + Pads
    - Near new Michelin Pilot Super - Front and Rear
    - Cargo net fitted in boot
    - Indoor car cover (to keep dust at bay once the car is washed and inside the garage)
    - Vic Rego valid till end Dec 2018
    - Will supply RWC once deposit is paid while finalising sale

    - Cooling fan and passenger bag recalls completed
    - Maps updated to v22

Most of you already know and appreciate Lexus build quality and know about the ISF - It's a great car and IMHO is better than the Euro rivals in the same price segment.

The car is very well maintained and has been used as my weekend cruiser (not used as a daily drive). Most of the K's on this car are from cruising in the hills. It's in beautiful condition inside and out.
Non-smoker's car and I don't allow any food in the car either !

    Photos attached.

  3. not good. even on the FB forums there was some confusion and last minute suggestions on time and route. Eventually no one turned up.

Not sure if iinkz and jgs98 actually turned up ?

I was there, waited for a while and then went for the drive around - once I take that puppy out, I end up driving the hills...

    Thanks Bullit,

I know how to turn off TC etc as you have mentioned above but have heard the 'pedal dance" can disengage the VDIM even more? Is this correct?

depends on the year of the car. Newer ones 2010 onwards just need the long press (5 seconds or thereabouts) on the Vsc button and the TC & ABS both are switched off.

A short press also works, but re-engages both systems once the car reaches 20/25 kph.

  5. Alright folks; Meetup point and route is below. There will be a few folks from the Facebook group who are not on this forum...

  6. yeah, we had one 3 years back I think, and after that it just went quiet.

There's a fair few people, but just not active...  even these forums are very quiet.

I'm part of a few other forums (IT and Motorcycle) and there's always some chatter going on - the motorcycle forum is really one of the best - very active, lots of rides and events.

  7. errm.. this one was for Jul last year.

Maybe I'll create a new thread for Feb this year - I'll put a few dates and we can vote to see attendance numbers.

We should have more meets, but each time I put one up not many turned out - I do end up going for drives around regardless. I've discovered a lot of driving/riding routes since getting my motorcycle licence.

I'll put one on Facebook group as well.

  8. Check the service book - it will have this 15,000 or every 12 months whichever comes sooner.

Going to another service workshop (qualified only) will not void warranty unless it's extended warranty provided by a dealer subject to custom terms. As per law they can't void manufacturer's warranty on a new car if there was a service book maintenance done by a qualified mechanic/garage. depending on how old the car is though, it may affect resale value.

  9. Update: I got original Lexus parts from the US. Front Rotors + Pads + Shipping all up for just over a $1,000 (arrived in just under 2 weeks - DHL) + $231 for fitting from Toyota service.

Much better than the 2.8K the dealer quoted - bloody joke...

I'm due for front tyres same size as yours water.$190 seems like a good deal, what are the Sport Maxx like?

Sport Maxx is no good. Once the enter mid life, very noisy and a bit grumbly in corners.

if you're not looking for premium pricing of the Michelin PSS, i'd recommend the Continentals. Bridgestone Adrenalins are also good, but for the price the PSS is much better.

Had to get new tyres so figured best time to get new wheels too lol.  Yeah i know any excuse but it works for me :-)

Alot of the guys in the states swear by Michelin super sports so went with those and always loved the black on black look so went that way with red/orange calipers painted too.

Had to given these wheels show off the calipers more.

Also got a new gear knob, purely bling but it glows on touch.  Each to their own but i like it :-)

Loving the Apexi throttle controller too.  Great factory finish with it replacing one of the blank button

Yeah, PSS is a very good tyre - I've just replaced on mine now and it's great! Also interesting is that I went up a couple of sizes on the front and rear with lower profile and was expecting it to be a bit harsher on the ride, but for some reason it's actually a bit more comfortable - must be something to do with the sidewall construction on the PSS.

    I'm running 245/35 and 265/35.

I see that you kept it stock? you should've changed it - the wider front makes a noticeable difference :)

Dinesh - notice you have an IS-F (nice!). Do you recall replacing front rotors and how many km's?

I'm just going to do my first replacement around 55K. Though the dealer was surprised that this was my first rotor change - most get changed around 40k is what he told me.

But I don't do any city miles, mostly long drives and fast sweeping turns. The rotors on ISF cost a fair bit though - and from the dealership it's a rip off 2.5 just for fronts. i'm getting mine from the US now.
