LEX51S
Hey guys Have any of you any information on re mapping an is250. Ie can it be done and would it be worth it. ??
ilv1004s
AFAIK the ecu on the lexus can not be cracked you can have a airfuel tuning piggyback system to help the ecu but the ecu will shut the piggybaack out after a while so at the moment No though Toms 2IS line up is apparently already pretuned from factory which means it had some sort of custom tuning done from the factory

Atlantis
It's a shame that Toyota locks either ECUs so hard we can't play with them. Even back on the old Soarers the only way to tune was to get a PowerFC or other (proper) piggyback ECU like the eManage or FCON.
chris_e_fresh
how much more power would you get remapping ? what about getting a unichip ?
Atlantis
I doubt it'd be much more than 15kW, hardly worth the cost in my opinion. The engine is pretty highly strung out of the factory, with very little leeway for decent modification without spending 5 figures. Compression is way too high to do anything decent with it apart from intake & exhaust.
ilv1004s
how much more power would you get remapping ? what about getting a unichip ? please read the above post remap cannot be done as for the unichip it might work it might not there are few supercharged IS250's in the US AFAIK they do not run any sort of ecu at this stage though the ARMA supercharger runs a ecu (their own) but i havent seen the damn kit yet so i cant confirm it
DANSLEX
Might as well save your coin and get the 350 imo.
