Keyless Entry Not Working

Hi All,

I am having an issue with my ISF with the keyless entry function. It won't unlock the car when touching the handle the lights won't come on either when approaching the car. I can only unlock it by pressing the button on the key fob. I can lock the car by pressing the button on the handle. Tried all of the keys same result.

Driving me nuts.

Any suggestion are appreciated.

Have you tried both keys? Failing battery maybe?

If he can still unlock it with the key fob then most likely the batteries still work. I'd say the sensor on your door handle may be off.

make sure you dont have a electronic equipment next to your key in your pocket

phones can cause the key to not work properly

or another explanation would be

your key battery would be on its way out

my key battery on the is350 died not long ago

and the cars a 2011 with 50K Kms

OK. It worked once today for no apparent reason maybe it liked the scenery:)

I THINK it has something to do with locking or unlocking he passenger side. I think I locked the car using the passenger side handle and after that it would not open. It is set to only open the driver side. (atm it does not work on any side) however the boot opens OK.

Go figure.

Any thoughts?

Maybe try give the ecu a reset? If it's an electronic problem then maybe it would work o.o

I'm just throwing thoughts out there.

Fixed. Weird. I remebered that I tried to lock the car with another key fob inside the boot and it went pear shaped after so deliberatley did it again and it fixed it. I gues it must be some sort of a security feature but is very strange.
