GS460 owners?
Just joined the Club. Thank you all. Happy owner for many years of a 2008 GS460. Like new apart from some minor scratches and dents. Very low mileage. The touch screen has just failed and I'm told by Lexus of Southport that it may be repairable at a cost of around $600. Has anyone had a similar experience? Also. they tell me I have to replace the front lower control arm bushes at a cost of approx. $2,450. Again, has anyone experienced this? Hope to hear from you. Peter -

1999 LS400 OBD1 + OBD2. ports won't communicate with readers
Problem solved! After months of frustration, expense, and headscratching I took my ECU to Kelvin Glover from the New Zealand Cartune Company. He tested it . He inspected it, plugged a test harness into it and found it to be in excellent condition and communicating correctly. Shortly after returning to home to Australia he posted a comprehensive video on his YouTube channel relevant to my problem. I traced the wires as he indicated and and found the data wire from my ECU to the under dash OBD2 plug was not it the correct position. I swapped pin 8 to 7 and bingo! I had communication! My scanner immediately foud that a recently replaced cheapie cam position sensor was faulty. I bit the bullet and forked out big money for a real Toyota/Denso sensor, and all the driving issues were solved. The old girl drives like a dream again. My lesson in this was: Do not buy cheap aftermarket sensors. Use original OEM items only, even if the cost much more. Also beware of fakes, the bad sensor I had installed was crudely marked a a Toyota item. I've included a link to Kelvin's website below. G.O.
