Greetings One and All,

I recently came into possession of a 2006 Lexus IS250 Prestige GSE20R 4D Sedan 6SP Auto Sequential V6 2.5 L, a beauty and great on the road.

Alas, major trouble! It’s taking on WATER and strangely enough only from the front and rear left Passengers side. Collectively, I removed over 1 1/2 Litres of water.

Strangely enough I cannot find, feel any signs  of water, dampness from the sides or ceiling and it seems to be emanating from the floor.

I have tested it to the best of my ability with a hose, varying the pressure of the water and no apparent leaks from the seals.

It does have a sun roof which I have been using and have found only a small amount of water that has gathered there after rainfall.

I do love this car but it’s quickly turning into a boat.

If there is anyone out there that could assist with suggestions of what to do, or a retired person that once dealt with the above issues professionally.

In Anticipation,

Elizabeth

P.S It’s had a shower cap (car cover) on it over the majority of the Melbourne Winter and Autumn.

most likely the rear air flaps have failed and taking in water from there

its a bumper off job

Firstly apologies for the delay in responding to your excellent suggestion, thank you.

do you know of anyone that you would be happy to use that isn’t an official Lexus service place.

appreciatively, Elizabeth
