greeneyes
These come up now and then, so I thought we could gather a few. The formatting will probably lose a bit in the posting- Basically they have a Length 4400mm, Width 1720mm, Height 1410mm, Wheelbase 2670mm Altezza 3SGE IS200 IS300 Capacity 1988cc 1988cc 2997cc Power 210PS(JIS) 153HP(DIN) 215HP(SAE) Torque 160lbft(JIS) 144lbft(DIN) 218lbft(SAE) Trans 6M 6M 5A Weight 1360kg 1435kg 1483kg Top Speed 143mph 137mph 143mph(claimed) 0-60mph 7.7est 9.0 7.5 0-100mph not tested 25.8sec 19.5sec I'm not sure if JIS results are similar to SAE. The power looks about right, so certainly the three litre has good torque. Anyone found some more comparable figures?

4ROLLN
I just got a 0 - 100 time of 7.13 for the (3S-GE), with subs and a *BLEEP*ty clutch, looking for some 6 second figures in the near future plus some mods. Pretty stoked with that as I thought it would be late 7's cheers.......
Gavin_S
Nice Hayden...ps-I want your APex!!!!! lol you happen to know best place to source one so I can monitor my perfomance? Then we can physically compare the 4 vs 6 cyl.... ;)
4ROLLN
I always seem to be advertising these guys, but ST HI Tec, located at Gate 5 Nuffield Street in New Market would probably be your best bet as he sells alot of Apexi meters and installs them pretty quick due to his experience. There number is 09 523 5333, he is an asian guy and really knows his stuff. Don't know how to spell his name but its Souchie or something simliar. You know that the Apexi also holds your top three records which you can save or delete to prove to people you figures, You'd be stoked with one as they do so many cool little tricks. cheers..... Hayden P.S , If your cars faster buy much, it will mean war ....haha
lextcy
An alternative to the ApexI is is the G-teech meter. No need to 'install' as with the Apexi, its plug and play and uses g forces to calculate measurements http://www.gtechpro.com/
hkgs300
What do these Apexi or Gtech costs?
lextcy
RRP Apexi is about $440, Gtech is about $800. Though im sure it can be cheaper if you serach
4ROLLN
for $550 nz including install , you can get the Apexi RSM with the extra G-force meter for better accuracy and monitoring. Thats what i got but I wanted it mostly for show. I think the Apexi is better value but as you say the G-force meter is plug and play also the Apexi shows engine power in kw or horse power, eliminates the speed cut, bat voltage etc

4ROLLN
took about an hour, I will put a picture up under members cars etc, mounted it using the Apexi bracket which I think costs aroun $45, got it installed proffessionally which took around an hour, dont think its to hard , just need to understand the Japanese instructions I would think, you can find out more infromation at the Apexi website, including downloadable pdf file on it not best photo but anyways..... 4ROLLN
It's a Uniden sws5000, it has saved my arse a lot of times but is probably ownl a cheap radar detector compared to the top ones, I was going to buy a Escort/passport one for about $1400 last year but thought I couldn't be bothered spending that money, think its much cheaper now. I'm pretty used to radar detectors and find that the sws5000 is execellant value for money but at the end of the day even though I'd hate to admit it, if you speed, the radar detector will only work if your pretty alert etc................. cheers....... Burning Chrome
Hi Matt, Valentine 1 was recommended by performance car magazine, it has alot of good reviews. You might want to take a look at that too, they were retailing for $1000-1500 when I last checked. http://www.radardirect.co.nz/featuredprodu...valentine1.html
4ROLLN
Not sure what I was saying, but the uniden works for me, if it didn't save my arse then I would have bought a more expensive one, however if you have the extra money to spend then its a wise investment to but one of the top models if you regualaly find yourself having to use the brake to maintain the legal speed requirements.................. value for money the uniden id a pretty could tool
Aristo_kat
i had a uniden 5000 for a while untill it just decided to stop working, even with the display on!! :( I now have a valentine1 and must say this radar is the *BLEEP*,it gives you so much warning of the cop ahead it becomes annoying, also picks up the cameras which the uniden didn`t. Just my 2c. Al.
Burning Chrome
Bulk Purchase for V1's then is it ?
frylai
Bulk Purchase for V1's then is it ? I know V1's are good, but they are not too user friendly, IMO i reckon the Bel990 International is the best interms of overall performance (User Friendly,Range, price etc) Matt
