Finally Installed Eibach Springs

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone:

I have been busy with my brother's wedding, so didnt visit the net for a while.

We had a great day for the wedding and I managed to organised 6 cars (including myIS and my brother's Accord Euro). Other cars were: 735Li, 735i, 2X ES300. All are current model and all within 1 month old. It's nice to drive a big 7 around , but considering the cost of the car and maintenance.....

Well, back to the topic.

I have ordered a set of Eibach Prokit from Melbourne (Car Shine). They gave me the best price I could find from all the distributors in AU.

I had them installed This Tuesday morning (2 days ago). I went to a suspension specialist shop recommended by Lexus dealer to have them installed. It costed me AUD$185 (not inclduing alignment). and I am going back to have the wheel alignment done in ~2 wks. They also offer a free check after 1000KM.

It took them about 2 hour 15 minutes to complete the job. ( I actually removed the boot liner the night before to save my time in the shop)

The car is about 25 mm lower on each corner same day after the lowering. I will keep an eye on the hight and see if they drop more.

Handles quite well, less body roll, and slightly harder over the bump,. but very similar to stock.

Now the important parts for me:

(1) There is no popping noise or any other unwanted noise :D

(2) The gap at the rear wheel has reduced. but still not to the ideal look. (I realised that long time ago after reading a lot of net forum). However, I am happy with it b/c I dont want to go too low and casue damage. and it look much better than stock.

That's all for now folks. thanks

Hey SSML,

Its great you finally lowered your car, heard you wanted to lower it for around a year now...but now you moved so you can finally do it, great!!! :D 1 thing about the noise, it did'nt happen to most until a month or two later...just to let you know in case it might happen :( , I m going onto CoilOvers or New Shock/Springs Setup next year..other top secret mods to come... :D
