Crackle Sound After Turning Off Engine..

Hi Everyone..

Just a quick question..

After parking your car, and then turning off your engine..and then go out from your car...

I could hear like a crackling sound coming from the engine.. (probably going on for 20-30 seconds)

is this normal?? anyone having this issue as well??

Should I try to address this issue on my next service..? (30K)

anyone could shed a light ??

it's from the exhaust

normal on all cars

heat on the exhaust and such and cooling down

I would agree with ilv1004s - nothing to worry about. Crackle/sizzle sound is just the exhaust system cooling down, especially if there is a bit of moisture on it from road splash or even A/C condensate

I think I'm just being a bit paranoid.. after reading all that threads about rattling & crackling sound that you guys discussed before...
