Hey all, I'm new to forum.

I was converted when I took the 350F for a test drive.

Talk about value for money compared to european competitors (options that come with car as standard, encore priv, corp prog). For the same amount of money I would be buying a standard 320, C180, or 1.8L A4.

Was looking at 2009 model IS250 F-sport in June but luckily I gave up on that idea. Anyways just last week I put my deposit for black IS350 F-sport, however waiting til late December for delivery. I want it now!!!

I asked about 2011 comp plate as I thought about it because of the wait and they advised that they won't be available until early March-April due to manufacturing and shipping time, which seems about right I suppose.

Starlight Black is also best seller.

how much did u pay johnny, i just put a deposit as well

congrats guys. the new black looks hot. i was also considering white and blue colours.

the final invoice showed $69700 less trade-in so driveaway was $63700. I also got front and rear sensors and boot liner. i have a mazda 3 which was worth about $12-13k.

for a "new" model that wasn't covered under the l'exhibition discounts and from a RRP of $82000 without the mentioned options i'd like to think i got a good deal except for delivery of car, i was hoping to get it in november. i'll just have to wait until early january i suppose.

funny that we walk away thinking we screwed the dealer, but in the end we're the ones screwed LOL.

fantastic car though - true value for money. how much did you pay?

Hi Johnny,

Can I clarify if it is the F Sport Model you referred to above? The rrp in Perth WA here is about $83,000 driveaway for the F Sport with the moonroof (inclusive of dealer delivery and stamp duty).

I can't comprehend how they would discount to $69,000 (albeit different stamp duty regime) driveaway????

Regards,

D

Yes the car is just under $82k driveaway here in Sydney.

I don't know how they worked it out for the final figure to total $69700. They must have tweaked the final figure with the potential margin they can make on the trade-in to show better profits at the end of the month, who knows? In the end with the trade-in I'm driving away with only $63700 and the current car I own owing to Lexus.

I got a Starlight Black IS350 F Sport with:

* moonroof

* front sensors (non-Lexus brand to look like sports luxury)

* rear sensors (original Lexus as per Sports Luxury)

* boot liner

* corporate program registration which includes 3 yrs free service + encore priv which every owner gets.

As I mentioned in my previous post I'm also trading in my current Mazda 3 SP23 which is worth about $11-13k (so the dealer says). The trade-in confuses things.

Lets say the trade-in is $12000, the purchase price would be about $75700. Nearly a $6000 discount. On the invoice the $6k shows as the trade-in value.

Shak bought his for $74k which is even better!

Mate the dealer got u on the trade in most likely and it also a corporate deal so u get the fleet pricing I think but all in all a good price except there are no is350 f sport for delivery until late dec early jan unless u bought early in release

My thought is exactly the same!

The corporate deal does not entitle you to fleet pricing. It merely a discount off the dealer delivery charge. (I got corporate deal as well!)

Cheers,

Delivery on 29 December.

Yeah trade-in wasn't the best but I've had my car advertised privately for 4 months, dropped the price from 18k to 15k and no interest at all. Its the cheapest of its kind on carsales, problem is there's too many of them for sale.

Corporate is only for added benefits like $500 credit on finance if thru Lexus and 3 yrs free servicing but no fleet pricing.

Anyway, as we've seen $74k-$75k drive away should be your guide when negotiating. If you think less please give me an example.

I also got quoted for insurance thru Lexus too. 50% cheaper than NRMA and GIO. Anyone think the same?

Just to note that I had a choice of getting silver, blue, white or grey now without waiting till December but I wanted Black so I had to wait. All stock by dealer were demo or sold and no other dealer would swap. Unfortunately I got in too late.

Is anyone else willing to share what price you paid? Icefire, IS350F-sport??

I got a realllllllly good trade in on my is250 though :) the main reason why right now u get good discounts I guess is nearing end of year the wanna make sure the sell all 10 plated cars?

Hi Johnny,

Do you mind if I ask what Mazda3 and year model you had as trade-in?

Thanks

less further corporate discount.

The only discount to come from the corporate program is slightly reduce dealers charges. There's no actual extra discount to the price of the car. The free servicing is the big advantage of the corporate program.

As other have mentioned here before it is not like a fleet discount. People get confused with this.

Re: Corporate Program

Yep, had to remind the dealer about this a few times. Helps to work for a top 500 aussie company. Free servicing by the book up to 60000km or 3yrs. That's a minimum $2000 I save. Plus a $500 credit off the finance. All the rest is as per Encore privileges.

  • 1 month later...

Got my IS350F today. Top acceleration and power from the big 6.

Can anyone help guide me with correct instructions on how to set up the "doors auto lock/unlock" feature? I would like to have it locked when moving and unlocked when I return shifter to PARK.

Help with the "window/sunroof open/close feature by remote control" would be much appreciated too? At the moment I can only close the windows by use of the door button.
