Black
Help Guys. Im after a set of aftermark HID conversion kit, and i dont know which one to choose from. From Ebay, there are tons and tons to choose from, ranging from $40 - $900. Read it on the internet, some says it's alright to go for generic, while some says generic (or those made in china) fried their wire. It seems to me that the more i read into something the more confuse i get, and i am in dilemma. I really dont know which one to get now.Sorry for being such a noob about it! Same applies to the color temperature. Was thinking about 8000K. some says it's hard to see when it rains and recommend 4500k, and 6000k is pushing it. :( now, what sort of HID kit you guys using huh?? mind sharing? and the color temperature? any trouble with the boys in blue? worth it to spend extra to get those $250 to $300 HID kit or just go with generic $100 - $150 ?? thanks in advance!! cevu
for my subaru i bought the 79 dollar kit it was pick up @ linfield as well iv had it for about 1 year about 30K kms and no problems and that was the slim ballast version if you want ill find a kit and send u a link also had a generic kit for over 3 years before the ballast died. good value for 70 or so bux. 6000k kit, pure white with the slightest tinge of blue. no dramas from the boys in blue as they tend to pull over older cars only for illegal mods! a lexus is not something that would attract their attention unless u were doing something stupid in the first place. plus with all that engine plastic u can't see the ballast anyway. cevu
Thanks CEVU & ilv1004s for your valuable input. Ilv1004s- if you dont mind, could you pls send me the link? cevu - do ya remember which brand you use for yours, link? sorry, been ages ago since i had that kit so have no idea. also, a smd led white t10 bulb is what you need for the barkers to compliment the hids. any of ebay should be fine. but i'd pick a decent looking one as you can see it in the headlight housing. the 25 ones from the shops are not brighter, just they have added a massive profit margin to the product!
