  1. From memory it can be a little annoying running a standalone and keeping the factory dash running etc . Some people run the factory ECU for basic functions and then the standalone for engine management etc (piggyback) . If your going full standalone you can repin/rewire the old harness to suit youll just be limited by the availability of functions that the ECU can handle or get a custom harness made probably set you back around $1000
  2. You can also get cobra sport but it's incredibly expensive for $1900 The other exhaust that I have seen only one person have on their car is jap speed however I've had zero luck with getting the UK sellers willing to ship . I know of people using the is300 hks exhaust it just tends to stick out more at the back coz its longer
  3. If you mean the 2gr , I second this as I've had the internal battle of JZ swap or 2gr swap . I love them both and tbh the jz swap is incredibly common with a lot of aftermarket support versus the 2gr into the IS200 however you have the benefit of people putting it in the mr2 and other platforms. So it'd be a custom job, wiring, mounts , transmission adaptation etc. Along with how much power you'd like to make supposedly the 2gr can handle up to 400+ HP on stock internals , so potentially with forged internals and forced induction you could reach 600+ with the right ECU and tune/tuner If the exige supercharged is anything to go by the 2gr is incredibly capable and the sound is intoxicating with the right exhaust setup really gives off that old school race car sound .
  4. Getting a shop involved is always more expensive , ive gotten a few quotes in Queensland for a 1j swap for my auto 200 and expect at a minimum 10-20k. you can source the engine, trans and ecu for 5-6k (1J vvti) the rest is labour , custom fab work , wiring , tuning etc. if you have any mechanical friends or family that have done swaps they may be able to help. there's also a fair few videos/articles online for 1J swaps into IS 200/300 , from what ive been told the 1J fits fairly well into the bay of the IS
