  1. Umm, why would you need the speed limiter removed. the highest speed limit in this country is 100km/h, unless you're looking at doing over 180 on a closed road!!! (lol) Oh, and BTW, I 'never' speed.
  2. me dont thinks the little tezza's are built 4 speed i got mine cause it looks the shi-ite and not too common(dore) or though there does seem 2 b alot more on the road now
  3. nice exterior, but OTT boy-racer interior is just plain stupid!!!
  4. "blitz" make an excellent kit that comes with everything, basically just unbolt the old one and on with the new. I did mine in an hour flat, car now has awesome induction noise, but as discussed by others on previous posts, has some lag around the 4000rpm line. 'blitz'kit is a little expensive though!!! but if you contact distributor direct should get a discounted price. matt's still the man to source any of this stuff
  5. Associate of mine purchased a Gita with the Jap Nav system in it. After trying to source local procuct to modify the GPS into screen only (for dvd playback), the only answer he had in the end was to trash the factory GPS and start from scratch. I guess this is the easier option, but may be more expensive. Also for all you guys and girls out there considering spending big bucks putting DVD in dash, a little bit of advice... LTSA and Police are looking at making in-dash screens other than stereo or temp control/gps (ie: LCD DVD or game screens) illegal. Dont be surprised if in the near future owners already with in-dash screens will be made to remove them, it may even extend to a Warrant Of Fitness requisite. Screens situated behind the driver would remain legal. Just food for thought before spending the big bucks.
  6. currently residing in (windy) palmy north
  7. Man, thats a nice Mitsi It's got the 'bling' factor
  8. Ahhh, the trusty wee TRD oil filler cap. Just got one, and looks very nice (ra ra) But: 1. Very expensive for a little bit of billeted steel. 2. Dont take it off to show your mates after youve been running the car for a while, as it gets really f****n hot. (and no, I am not a rocket scientist) 3. Bloody TRD wording faces backwards when screwed down (this one really pisses me off!!!).
  9. Just to let you know, I have put a set of new LOC club stickers on my Tezza, based on Jase's design. They are subtle but classy. My friends digital camera is bung, maybe I could catch up with you Muzza, so we could load some pics in the gallery? Rear sticker measures 250mm x 65mm Quaterlight stickers are 130mm x 35mm Colour: whatever you want, can be internal or external mount. Cost: $33.95 for the set of 3, inclusive of GST and courier in NZ. (cost will be a little less for members able to personally uplift the stickers) Guy whos doing them is Reece KENDRICK, from Reece KENDRICK signs in Palmerston North, he can alter the size etc to accomodate individual needs but alterations may cost extra. You can contact Reece on phone/ fax (06) 3574410 or 025 509434, or e-mail reecekendrick.signs@xtra.co.nz
  10. CRAP, HTTP LINK DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK, TRY WWW.SUPRASTORE.COM THEN CLICK ON THE LEXUS IS300 ICON
  11. FINALLY FOUND OUT THE SUSPENSION PACKAGE THAT CAME WITH MY TEZZA FROM JAPAN. CHECK IT OUT ON WWW.SUPRASTORE.COM/SUPRA/TRDCOILOVALF.HTML (SORRY WORK COMPUTER WONT LET ME LINK) MATT. SEEMS TO BE REASONABLY PRICED ON THIS SITE DAMON
  12. ok i have sorted this out i can confirm at this time no one is manufacturing carbon fibre look plate surrounds to suit nz licence plates it is likely this will happen in the future if manufacturers feel demand is high enough. as such i am concentrating on getting the club stickers sorted. i have handed jase's design to a local computer sign man who is cleaning it up as i only had a jpg. looks promising and he can do almost any colour. hopefully cost will be low damon
  13. What do you think Matt??? My work car just makes people uptight for some reason...lol
  14. I'm keen as this will be a very good way of promoting the club in a professional manner. I see this being of little use unless we can get the surrounds made as a bulk deal, and are able to offer them at a reasonable price, to any member who wants them. Others may have a better idea than the carbon fibre look, we can obviously get black or chrome locally at a small cost, but the carbon fibre sure does look sweet!!! Damon
  15. I've been trying to give out cards but people look at me like I'm a freak (maybe I am!!!). Where is the love....
  16. I am having no luck sourcing carbon fibre 'look' licence plate surrounds, does anyone have any contacts in the industry who may be able to manufacture these? i've seen some very nice TRD carbon fibre plate surrounds on US ebay, but they are no good for NZ licence plates. i'm hoping to get a bulk deal with the view to having the LOC URL etc printed along the bottom of the plate surround. is this a good idea, or are the club stickers the way to go? what do ya reckon guys (and girl)? damon
  17. altezza owners may have to use spacers to use surrounds on front plate, i'll probably leave mine the way it is (butchered) and just have one on the rear matt, gone off the idea of the gas cover now. how much for 'trd' oil filler cap and 'trd' 1:1 radiator cap?
  18. guys. I am currently talking to a local computer sign man who is trying to source carbon fibre (look) licence plate surrounds, and will laser etch the nz loc logo running along the bottom this should look very professional. cost should be minimal if purchased as a bulk buy he also has most 'trd' type stickers/ fonts etc on his computer, and can make vinyl stickers for a fraction of the cost of factory. they look the same, and he can do whatever colour, also very professional (the wonder of computers) my advice to approach your local computer sign writer, and ask what they can do for you my advice, unless you want to be able to say your stickers/ emblems are factory, shop local at a fraction of the cost
  19. looks very classy, obviously no good on dark coloured cars, damn, just bought a chrome one off matt (which i prefer anyway) gold would be rather nice!!!
  20. sorry to hear about the eggs gav. as you are aware living in the big city has its draw backs, when i was living in point chev my mint skyline gts-t was broken into 5 times (count em), while it was parked at the rear of my house. my partners car was parked in our single car garage. the fact is there are two types of peoples: 1. inherently good (decent) 2. inherently evil (losers) i'm living in palmy nth now and is slightly safer leaving your car parked outside or on the road than auckland still, i suppose one positive thing is we're not suffering terrorist attacks, right. hope the eggs havent left any lasting legacy.
  21. Thanks for the informative reply Gavin. I guess it all makes sense as nobody is getting any younger (even me damn it!!!). Still, I yearn for the days when I attended Lightspeed et al when I was living in Auckland during the late 90's. The scene at the time, as you will agree, was electric. I also seemed to be a lot fitter (funny about that). I've been moving away from the hard trance myself, getting into some of the down beat (Bent, Monte La Rue, Chicane etc etc), also this music my fiancee finds more approachable. Being in Palmy now I'm somewhat detached from the Dance/ Chill scene, as the local stores cater to students and Top 40 fans (cooool). What sort of vinyl you mixing at the moment?
  22. Gavin, If you're out there, tell me what the hell's the story over at my fave (before they sold out to the Aussies) trance compilation label, Ministry of Sound. Their annuals used to be essential listening and a good indicator of hot dance/ trance/ chill albums for the year. Now they are just commercial crap. Sure their packaging on the 3 disc sets is classy, but does that make up for the sub-standard contents. Local outlets reckon the whole dance scene is dying, I'm sure they haven't been to Ibeza or the festivals in Germany (not that I have either!!!) You're in the know, what dya reckon? Damon
  23. thanks guys an associate of mine has offered to fabricate a shroud in carbon fibre to effectively isolate the pod filter from the engine bay, who knows, might even look sweet! other than that problem at 3-4000 rpm, i'm happy with the Blitz, it looks and sounds the part anyway!
  24. Just had my Blitz Pod Filter and kit (complete import from Japan) installed. My factory air box had a crack in it (on the important side!!!) I took the car for a ride on our previously flooded roads. The Blitz has made a considerable difference top end, but I've noticed the car seems to get 'bogged down' at around 4000 rpm, only momentarilry, before coming on full song again. Seems as long as you keep her screaming above 4k theres no problem. Any one else out there with pod filters had similar experience?
