I'm goin to upgrade my 18" to 20"/22" :) so if you interested? Wheels is Gmax enigma, tyres is Bridgestone Eagle F1. Its used only 2 months (4kms) :) Go with 19's, you will have to many hassles with the 20's or 22's, and it will sit like a boat and you wont be able to lower it because it will rub left right and center. Seriously? thanks Niick, will consider that. yep! ive been into car modifying along with a few of my mates for a while now. So unless you are interested in modifying your wheel arches then 19's are the max i would recommend. Ive got 19's and i have to get my rear guards rolled because of the width of the rim.

If brake pads made a very big difference in stopping power, why wouldn't people get high performance pads instead of upgrading their brakes? As long as the pads can provide adequate friction, which all new brake pads do, its all up to the calipers themselves. Who is going to be driving fast enough on Australian roads to warrant the small percent of extra stopping power these high performance brakes offer?

The standard ones are high friction pads designed for regular high speed braking (i.e 180+km/h) Doubt many of us are able to get those kind of speeds regularly enough to need these kinds of pads. All you need to look for is any good ceramic pads, some advertise 'low dust' and designed for Australian roads, there both good. I was going to call Melb City Lexus to see if they would swap them over for me but now that you say you asked.. i duno. I might try give it a go anyway. Nick L_BR002_06.pdf

hahah thats a shame, im in Melbourne. Ill have to see how things go with the installation of my springs first, my father just sold his hoist so it will make things a bit harder. After having the wheels on for a couple months now, im very used to it. The only difference I have noticed over stock is when there is a big bump in the road, i feel it a bit more. But that isn't because of the wheels themselves, but the very low profile tyres that are on them. If your very concerned about that, i would suggest 18's with a higher profile tyre. You could get away with 19's and a higher profile tyre but you might have to fix some rubbing. Feel free to pm me whenever because it seems you have had all the same queries i have had along the way with modification and I might be able to help you out. Nick

You will not believe what i just found! 5pc set of lexus mats, Can you guess what the 5th one is for? The bit behind the console in the back! All for $50 delivered to Melbourne! Click below Lexus Mats!! They dont look to be genuine, but for $50 delivered they would be great to use when its going to be raining or as spares... Nick

With my IS250 they gave me an option to scotchguard the whole interior.. which is what i did. The sides of the foot wells get a bit dirty with the light interior but scrubbing with a damp rag gets rid of most of it. For the floor mats i use a brush and carpet shampoo and then hose them down.. comes out alright. I got the best results using a britex carpet cleaning machine though. In the short term they are pretty easy to clean but personally im looking for a set of the charcoal coloured floor mats for winter time. Nick

From memory my driver side mat has clips but not passenger.. ill double check when i jump in it next. Did you get your mats changed when brand new or afterwards? Im sick of cleaning my beige ones! Im not sure about a cover for the back. Try searching for is250 on ebay.com (not .com.au) they have heaps of stuff the the is250 on there. nick

I got a 3 grand wheel and tyre package for $1800 delivered through tempe tyres The tyres are Nankang Sports... very quiet for such low profile tyres. As for the springs, i will be installing them myself as i did with the rims. My father has been in the car trade for many years so it makes it easier. As for the warranty, the only way it will affect it is if something goes wrong that is directly related to the modification, for example, your wheel+tyres are too big and they rub holes through the plastic in the wheel arches etc. If something goes wrong like a gearbox or diff, your still covered. What area are you guys from? Nickk

No worries. Ive got a prestige and I havent got it lowered yet! Big fender gap but I will hopefully be getting a set of springs soon. I haven't decided on which springs yet but probably Eibach, Esperlir, Megan or King Springs. My rims are Axis Decades, with 235/30/19 tyres on front and 275/35/19 on the rears Sorry about the crap pics.. ill take a few more soon.
