What i mean is... the springs with the lowest drop rate would be the ones mentioned by ilv1004s above. The rest are around 1.5" max. I just found out that King Springs will make a custom set of springs for $50 (i.e. choose your own spring rate and drop) This is what im probably going to go for as i am after a 2" or more drop from standard :D

Nice to see your interested in the IS250! I have the Prestige with the enhancement pack and could not be happier! As far as i know the trip computer has Trip A and Trip B and the odometer, it is located in the middle below the speedo and tacho. Is this an important thing to you? My best suggestion is to spend a bit of time to drive down to one of the dealerships and have a look at the car for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Hey Niick, Have you washed ya car yet?? We want to see the pics?? I would like to see how the 275s look from a road shot up!! Melbourne's weather has been shiiiiit lately lol. Seeing as the weekends coming i think i will do it very soon. Ill make sure to take low rear shot :) What profile tyres are you thinking of? Ive got 19's with 30 and 35 profile tyres. The only difference i have noticed is when going over sharp bumps or potholes (which i try to aviod), its a little harsher but nothing major. Despite what other people say, lowering will not make a huge difference to ride quality if you get a decent set of springs and don't slam it way too much on the 20's, if your thinking of coilovers, thats a different matter. In the last two weeks my mate with a VE commodore got super low king springs compressed and my other friend with a 300E Mercedes got his standard springs compressed (hes on 20's with 30 profile tyres). The VE has standard rubber and the difference is not significant enough worry about, it corners better but! As for the merc, the difference is very minimal as well. If your worried about road noise, then get a decent set of shoes. Ive got Nankang Ultra Sport III and although they aren't the most expensive tyres they perform surprisingly well. They are only two examples though and may not apply in all cases. Your best bet would be to have a chat to a suspension or wheel and tyre joint and they will tell you whatever you need to know.

Hi ldc, I've currently got 18s on mine, and yes, I do feel that it needs to be lowered. Especially if your wheels don't have an "oem" type look, it needs the drop to make it look complete. The larger you go, the more that the car looks like a boat with out the drop!! I would have to say, my guard is about 2" approx above the rubber. Too high in my opinion. I agree with what he said :D If your rims are too wide, u can get the guards rolled, which doesn't cost too much. If your rims rub on the plastic in the wheel arches then just use a heatgun on the area its rubbing and mould it. :)

I got the car tinted at Melbourne Lexus, bit expensive, just under $500 from memory. It looks great though! I got some funny marks on the top of the tint where it rubs when you close the window, lexus said they were happy to re-tint to fix the marks which is good! Ill take some photos when i wash the car.

Hey Niick, Im definately down with the group buy for springs!! What did you have in mind?? I thought your car was already lowered!! (and drastically at that!) Unfortunately not! I was very close to buying some from the states but changed my mind last minute and lost interest. I want to get them again though! Only thing is i want a decent drop and the lowest i can go with springs is 1.5" from factory. So i might just cut the factory springs... JOKING! My options would be to get a set compressed, be happy with a 1.5" drop or fork out for some coilovers. Any thoughts?

free exhaust systems...? i like the idea of meets, but we need more melbourne members. Overrides, tech tips and all that also sound good, ive got a fair bit to add from things that ive experienced with the is. Im good at graphic design if anyone wants some ideas for a sticker. Just tell me what you want on it.
