  2. haha im glad you have the money to spend! i do it all by myself, every week :( ahaha i kinda enjoy it sometimes though
  3. hey cevu, I would assume its the amp that does, because from memory my mates ve commodore is running a crossover from the standard head unit to a new amp and the quality is still 100% without an aftermarket head unit. Is that what you are asking, im not sure? Personally i think you should just introduce an extra amp and a pair of decent 10" subs to the rest of the system because the ML already sounds very good, it just lacks that bit of bass. Oh and disconnect the factory one! :)
  4. im so jealous! :( hahah I might buy a set and install them myself, i've got the whole summer off after the next two weeks. Save a bit on installation, to put to words an exhaust system.
  5. how come everyone quotes posts, even if they are underneath each other!? im guessing its because his older brother has one? lol the want to travel in a class obviously! B) a whole convoy of is250s would look pretty cool.
  6. Autoglym is the brand, my dad has been in the car trade as a panel beater and mechanic for 25 years and he swears by it. Its not cheap though! I would recommend one of the following: Autoglym Interior Shampoo This easy to use spray and wipe formula removes stains and grime from synthetic fabric upholstery, carpets, roof linings, vinyl and plastics. A carefully balanced blend of surface active ingredients and deodorising agents “deep clean” quickly and safely. Ideal for use as a general cleaner in caravans, boats, trucks and many other situations. Autoglym Leather Cleaner Leather Cleaner contains specialised cleaning and deodorising agents to safely clean and freshen automotive leather upholstery. Unlike harsher detergents Leather Cleaner has a natural pH formulation and will not remove the essential oils which keep leather supple and prevent surface cracking. Use in conjunction with Autoglym Leather Care Cream to preserve the life of your leather upholstery. Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care This amazingly versatile preparation dramatically simplifies cleaning and maintaining an immaculate all-round appearance on a multitude of surfaces. Use on fascias, instrument panels, PVC door and seat facing, vinyl roofs, trim strips, door shuts, door seals, unpainted plastics, rubber, tyres and all similar areas. Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care conditions and protects interior and exterior surfaces and forms a tough, but flexible, anti-static barrier against moisture, dust, oxidation, staining and fading. These are the products i would go for personally, but you can check out that website below to see exactly what suits you. Buy autoglym online at car care products :D You can also buy the products at autobarn, repco or somewhere similar ;)
  7. i also heard castle hill exhaust is very good. they do everything there, superchargers and all.
  8. did u get the leather protection thing done to your seats? i did, so i all i use is a microfiber cloth with a bit of water and it all looks spotless :) if not, maybe armor-all or if your after a quality product use autoglym
  9. mine comes out of the exhaust but it does find its way inside the car too, especially when i slow down at lights. so annoying!
  10. gave the car a bit of a thrashing on the new eastlink freeway here in melbourne friday afternoon, i got home and it was like a million rotten eggs fell out of the exhaust. smells sooo soo bad. im gona hassle lexus again see what they can do.
  11. theres a heap of other pads available that dont produce dust like the factory ones. just go into repco or where ever and explain to them your situation and they will set you up with decent pads, providing u get a staff member that has half a brain.
  12. dont be a fool, wrap your tool. but seriously, get an is250 prestige with enhancements as mentioned, if you buy second hand or ex demo and you will save sh!tloads, the feeling of a brand new car is good though..
  13. the actual process is easy, with the baking and all that sh!t. i think many people cbf and dont like the idea of chucking headlights in the oven which is fair enuf. someone donate me some angel eyes for the is250 and ill make a tutorial :)

  18. great post project, may come in handy when i decide to change all my lights :)
  19. All is250 owners beware of the paint around the console. The photo attached is what happened to an is250 owner in america when a little drip of ambi-pur air freshener dropped on it. I can verify that the Australian Lexus's may have the same delicate paint issue as i dropped a tiny bit of aftershave on it and it started to eat the paint instantly. No were near as bad as the photo attached, but there is a little discolouration :( Thought id give you guys a head up.
