  1. dunno about the suspension but the sways do have the associated bushes.. and you can get the whole bushes kit from trd.. ive asked a quote from matt already last night :)
  2. some discussion started here.. http://nz.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...pic=627&hl=snow more in the uk forums.
  3. yep im thinking some are definately higher geared. a nice value added (or hidden) feature :D
  4. yeh u dont use the sealant grease with a pod anyways. well if oil and its vapor makes its way back into the intake manifold and back into the engine that way it will lower the the feuls octane level and it does leave sludge inside the intake manifold... one test to check this out is stick your fingers in the throttle body opening..
  5. shane.. is your i/c bar n plate? wanna swap.. i have tube n fin ill throw in my a-harness..
  6. Keith.. incase we don't get 10 orders for is200 flywheels.. i've asked the workshop to get pricings for the JUN flywheel. So you go ahead with the Altezza flywheels as planned. TBA Pricings on Exedy is200/Altezza Clutch Kit TBA Pricings on Jun is200 flywheel
  7. Ok here are the dates and the discounts... looks like 19/20/21 October is best if we go back to back on stages 1,2,&3. I realise that most will not want to do all 3 stages because of time and money issues. If majority can do stage 1 & 2, then 28/29 September is best. If majority can do stage 1 & 3, then 24/25 November is best. If majority will only do stage 1 (still worthwhile!), then I'll have to nominate 19 October, as some of us may want to do all stages, and it also gives us more time to save up. STAGE ONE (max 30 people - 2 groups) Wednesday 8th September Thursday 16th September Wednesday 22nd September #Tuesday 28th September Thursday 7th October *Tuesday 19th October Thursday 28th October Monday 1st November Monday 8th November ^Wednesday 24th November STAGE TWO (max 18 people) #Wednesday 29th September *Wednesday 20th October Friday 19th November STAGE THREE (max 18 people) Monday 27th September *Thursday 21st October ^Thursday 25th November # stage 1 & 2 ^ stage 1 & 3 * stage 1, 2 & 3 Now, as for group discounts.. it is possible, but definate figures need to be known for which stages. So use the prices in my previous post as a guide; however, discounts will likely to be only $5-15 per stage depending on how many sign up for that stage. Besides that, the more the merrier! More info: Stage 1 - ideal for increasing car handling skills and lifting awareness levels using both wet and dry conditions. Conduction on the skid pan. Stage 2 - excellent follow up to stage1 with more advanced techniques in skid and slide control on the skid pan. Stage 1 is a prerequisite. Stage 3 - approved by CAMS for competition licence endorsement. ideal for learning all racing aspects or enjoying a 'speed fix'. Stage 1 is a prerequisite. All courses are conducted at Oran Park race track and at Ian Luff's driving school centre. let me know if you have any questions...
  8. yes this clutch is compatible for altezzas.. i say is200 only as that what it is listed down on the exedy product catalog. (there is no market for rs200's here in anycase, hence, why it is not listed). what about is200 flywheels? are you guys gonna do a flywheel for our cars? i'll have details of the kit sometime this week. i'd be interested in doing this as an all in one deal (flywheel & clutch kit combo). however, the clutches will be coming from .au from exedy and i will be ordering through the workshop as they have dealer prices.
  9. is this a rampod or a panel filter? if its rampod then its gonna be what keith said.. and it's time to get an oil catch can like what 4rollin said (or maybe ease off on the high rpm driving) :D .. if its a panel filter, then i think by the way describe oil in your original post, that it is actually oil and not the grease sealant (sounds like you didnt use sealant).
  10. if matt gets a yellow altezza... he will be called altezza girl 2 :P :) :P :D
  11. is this oil the grease you use to seal the contact surface between the filter and the airbox?
  12. Exedy do a sports clutch kit for the is200. Just awaiting on dealer pricings for this from the workshop. Anyone interested in a groupbuy? If it goes ahead probably looking to order within 4 weeks.

  14. I've hit 207km... i really forget what max limits per gear was on 4/5/6th gear as this was years ago and i haven't tried since. although i do remember that between from 160/170km.. it took a snails crawl to reach 180/185. after that, it was much easier to reach 207 from 185. why i stopped at 207? coz i was approaching the westmead camera on the m4. had a wrx as a rabbit. i'm game to test this out when final gear is installed. but this time it'll be on track not on street. ;)
  15. in the buy and sell threads matt.. :P i think in the apexi induction thread
  16. to clarify my last post.. 5 all round is sufficient. 7 (front) 5 (rear) to improve handling. 6 (front) 4 (rear) for a very comfortable ride. UPDATE ******* saw the workshop last saturday, and we agreed we didnt know how the softer spring rates would affect the dampners on these cars as they are a heavy car. so they made calls to tein jp and his colleagues in hk this morning and tein said customers (local and os) who have opted for softer spring rates on similar road conditions have eventually changed to a harder spring setting (the normal setup of 10/8) because the weight of the car significantly affects the dampeners on the softer spring rates. so my order went in with 10/8 which is the normal recommended setup for street for our roads :D its nice when you can clarify things like this with a workshop that has the best interests in our cars. B)
  17. possibly.. but from memory they were located on the side of the intakes.. sorry i cant confirm this was 3 odd yrs ago n dont have the car with me
  18. As Matt mentioned in another thread, the front bumper design allows optimal position of the front air intake for the is200 right through the middle. Thought I'd post up a quick easy diy fix to improve air flow through the stock air inlet for the is200. If you remove the air inlet intake and inspect it, you will see 2 holes that are uncovered (open). If you paid attention to physics in high school, gas/air will take the least path of resistance.. ie. via the 2 holes. so simply cover it up with heat resistant tape, chewy, or whatever. Simple? yes. Does it do anything? of course! Don't believe me? try punching another 2,3,4 or 5 holes in your air intake :P Sorry I don't have pics.. but I can post some in a few weeks if anyone has trouble with this. not sure if this diy is applicable for sxe-10's? anyone confirm?
  19. excellent.. thank you! btw.. any reason why u took be and not abe?? be does fats and cooking oil.. abe doesnt do fats/cooking oil but does carbon type solids like paper, plastics, etc. be doesn't do carbon types.
  20. beautiful mate.. looks like you are on a winning streak lately with some good luck ;) whats the ETA before it's on the road? B)
  21. at least matt and noone else got hurt from the accident.. although he said to me he was daydreaming.. thinkin of me, shane an johnny *inside joke* B) :P :D ;) :gav:
