  2. wohoo looking good! " Re: Ruling for A-Pillar gauge pods Thu, 08 July 2004 15:38 I beleive as long as they are behind your steering wheel they aren't classed as a vision obstruction I had a mate that got booked for having gauges on his A-Pillar because they were in front of his steering wheel Hope this helps! Dan " the trust apillars - the gauges DEFINATELY sit behind the wheel as per the pics!

  4. so not illegal if it blends in with the upholestry? or are you saying that they are less likely to look away, but it's still illegal?
  5. thought i'd liven up this discussion.. even though decals have been made.. was thinking logo for decals so you can put them 1) top of windshield 2) side windows 3) rear window 4) anywhere on the paint work and have the domain name on the licence plate.. coz the domain is prettylong.. i really like the domain name on the licence plate :D although.. lexusownersclub.com isnt that long to put as a decal my .02
  6. isnt it illegal to have a-pillars? personally i thought it was a height limit with the gauge pods.. but chee said its illegal all together or is this different from vic to nsw? let me know! if i can use em i will! sorry :P yeh i was thinking of doing a custom trim to make it blend with the upholstery.. sweeeet!
  7. ok i dont think im gonna get a reply from that guy.. shane.. u want my a-pillar? i dont want to run the risk if i install it.. so back to the drawing board.. there must be a place somewhere the produces a 2 gauge pod ;)
  8. They are approx 3 years old. I am still using them so are in good working order. I won't be removing the springs until I change to coilovers in approx 4-6 weeks; so they won't be available until then. As for the condition, you can inspect them I guess on the day that I have my suspension upgraded - this shouldn't be a problem. I forget the drop on the springs, however, with the 17" standard stock wheels (sports lux) I remember with the legana front bumper that this reached just below my ankles (wearing kicks). I'm using 19" rims now and they are a perfect ride hide for these size rims. Any queries.. pls pm me. Looking for a quick sale...
  9. I was reading up on possible applications for a torque converter.. and found out there are numerous reasons you would want to have one installed, based on what you are trying to achieve overall. The current is200's use a lock-up torque converter.. does anyone know what this does? and when was this introduced in the is200's? thanks
  10. unfortunately a turbo will affect the insurance greatly. not sure about warranty on the car only the parts that are replaced/removed will affect the warranty. if you cant afford to do insurance for a turbo.. wait until youre over 30yrs old.. insurance premiums drop drastically then ;) but probably a really long wait for you youngins :P
