  1. Please note - this is an exhaust from the headers back. This is not the rear axle back exhaust. The full system including welded in cats. Already had 2 enquiries
  2. Hi Guys, I have a Brola Catback exhaust which i purchased off a forum member in Qld and decided not to go down the route of installing it. This is worth $2100 new from Best Exhaust in Canberra (official borla importer) I am willing to sell it for $550 pick up. I purchased for $720 At this price I'm sure that it will go quickly. BTW it also has 200CEL rated hi flow cats welded in already so that you don't have to go to the added expense. Contact me on 0410 988 513 Will be available to view from Saturday onwards (I'm away for work) Thanks, Alex
  3. Hi all, i dont know how to post images here, but i have a stock IS200 rim with brand new tyre taking up room in my garage. looking for $150. No centre cap, but the rim is in good nick. Let me know if anyone needs a spare!
  4. Thanks for the feedback ISFBloke. Whilst i would like to do this, its HIGHLY illegal in Australia (and in the US for theta matter) - fine if caught is close to $10k!!! For the 15hp loss -id rather be safe. There is also a very different smell when the car doesnt have cats - not a good or a bad smell, but different and more potent - a cluey cop will pick this up and send you over the pits. Very strange that Lexus of Chatswood would do such a thing. Is there any chance i maybe able to meet you up to have a listen to the set up? It would be much appreciated man. I am around the Chatswood area Cheers, Alex
  5. Hi Crew, Ive purchased a Borla cat back exhaust and PPE headers and wanted to get peoples opinions (those who have done it or know someone that has done it) on where the position the CATS. See the PPE headers remove the cats, and the BORLA exhaust doesnt have any - if you're mating it up with standard headers this isn't an issue. Some people say to install the cats on the headers themselves - but then i think, PPE would have made an option like this if it was intended to be positioned there, i don't really want to cut up a beautiful header, plus an image on their website makes it look like it is welded in like 10cm after the flange where the headers and the exhaust connect. Thanks in advance for all your assistance/advice. Alex
  6. Hi Guys, About to get some new suspension and was going to tackle the install myself - but then i need to get a wheel alignment. Wanted peoples thoughts of who was best in sydney. Price isn't paramount, but i also don't want to have to sell a kidney. Who do you guys use?
  7. sorry to drag up an old post. ilv1004s - how do the figs rb rotors go? are they noisy at all? Any pics of them on the car? Im thinking of getting them
  8. is the steering wheels still for sale? Is the white carbon a match for the stock carbon in the ISF? Whats it worth now?
  9. um... i average high 15s.... does that mean i like the right pedal a little too much lol
  10. i saw this a while ago - crazy!! although the only thing Lexus ISF on it is the shell all the rest is custom!
  11. too easy ISF Bloke. just spoke to my guy and he's getting his exhaust taken off today and storing for me till i get time to install. Cheers and good luck with the new mods
  12. ISF Bloke - I'm a little confused My understanding is that an axle back is just that - an exhaust from the rear axle backwards - more noise than performance. The borla cat back goes from the rear of the headers (where the primary cat is) all the way to the rear. This is the higher performance variant of the two options.
  13. Thanks for the welcome ISF Bloke. I am in talks with another forum member Elgin from queensland - he is selling me his cat back Borla. If this falls through for any reason ill keep you in mind. I have confirmed that these headers are Right Hand Drive compatible. Mike was very informative in talking me through the process. All PPE headers for the OZ market have been modified, but within the last 9 -12 months there has been further development after some feedback of scrubbing. as i mentioned new headers have been sold to OZ with no negative feedback! Do you have any clips of your car and the sound it makes? was the power increase noticeably different? Worth while mod?
  14. Hey all, New ISF owner here. I promised myself when I bought the ISF I wouldn't mod it - after all, its such a nice car out of the box! But the modifier in me reared its head and im in the process of organising a Borla exhaust and ordered PPE headers from FIGS engineering in USA. By no means am I affiliated with the company, but I have to say that Mike from FIGS has been awesome! very knowledgeable guy, very generous with is time and overall a pleasure to deal with. He has informed me that with the RHD PPE headers there have been improvements since earlier models, with slight modifications to eliminate ALL steering rack interference, no mater how small. they have sold 3 sets prior to mine with no issues since the improvements. If you are looking at getting any suspension or exhaust set ups for your F, make sure to hit these guys up. Even though he is on the otherside of the equator his responses were always timely and on point. ill post pics once I have received the goods and they have been installed. Has anyone else here got a similar set up? What are your thoughts? Whats the sound like?
