ah love that stealership markup :)
got a parts broker looking into it right now.. hopefully he can come up with the goods.
-
Just wondering, has anyone tried sourcing them from japan through a parts broker e.g. through monster imports or jesse streeter etc?
-
Yeah about $1200 for the stripped version, but a heck of alot cheaper than buying a new lexus lol

Hey guys,
For sale, laser cut custom fit sunshade for RX330/350. Imported from USA.
$40 plus postage.
Cheers

I've bought springs from them before, they were alright i guess. I'm just concerned about reports of poor packaging on the my2012 headlights there, basically a few card board pieces, no foam no nothing. Guess i could take the risk but shipping back is rather expensive as well.

Hey guys,
Thought i'd give this a shot, as i'm not too keen on getting sewell to ship a pair of lights across the globe.
Anyone have a set 2011-2012 headlights with the led drl for sale?
Cheers

Yep, dropped mine with Toyota TTE springs, 25mm from memory. Less bodyroll, feels much better around corners, tad stiffer ride but not unsettling.
Looks a heck of alot better too, riding on 19's ;)

Had a similar thing with TRD Springs on my RX350 with the standard shocks. You could hear the noise when you pushed down hard on a corner when you're stationary too.
Eventually we pulled that strut out, and the top of it wasn't aligned properly. So we compressed the springs a little, removed the top off, realigned it and made sure it fit properly and tightened it hard. That did the trick.

I have seen 22" rims on the previous RX330/350/400h. So I would imagine you could go 22's, maybe even 24's.

Here's someone's review of the F-Sport Sway Bars for IS250
I'm reading in between the lines of his post... "installed, was a bit meh day-to-day on the IS".
-
Strut braces = adds structural rigidity to the car. Less likely to flex on heavy load.
Sway bars = reduces body roll.
Will it make any difference on the IS250? It really depends how good the OEM stuff is. On my previous ride, an R34 GTT it made stuff all difference - the Nismo OEM stuff was pretty good already. I'd imagine the IS250 due to it's weight and not being design for the track, it would benefit greatly from some decent suspension components.

Soaked up the excess Armor all with a microfibre cloth, then I used some Zaino Z9 cleaner (it says it's for cleaning leather but i found it works well on dashes too). Then when it was less glossy I just used a damp chamois to wipe it over to get rid of anything that's left, and when that was done I hit it with Meguires interior detailer.
-
I'm currently using Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer which doesn't leave a greasy finish like Armour All do. Doesn't seem to do much other than adding a low shine and deodorize the surface with a light citrus scene. I'm using Armor All on exterior plastics/rubbers. Any recommendation?
Same here, using Mequiars Quik Interior Detailer here too - no glare when driving. When I first bought my RX350 from the car yard, they used a bucket load of Armor All on the dash so I spent half the day trying to remove it.
Not a fan of dash mats personally, my understanding is that they trap heat. I had a 30 year old Datsun which we applied the old Kittens Interior detailer spray religiously and always used a sunshade in extreme heat - I swear everyone thought I had the dash reconditioned - it stayed mint until we sold it.

Just another question - how many Kms are you getting out of a full tank of petrol? Sydney metro here, and I'll be interested to see what consumption it runs at. Hoping to get at least 450~500kms from a full tank - am I being optimistic here?
According to my fuel log, i'm averaging 13.86L/100kms city driving. 06 RX350
And my tailgate is same as yours, unlock first then remote open tailgate.

Repost from the other thread you made.
Big insurance companies won't go near imports. Try Hard2Place, Shannons, or Just Car Insurance.
Btw, would love to see a pic of your harrier mate!

That's handy info to know Sapphire Cam.

I took it down because no one was sharing.

Hi Lizzie, welcome to the site! That's a pretty good deal you got there. Did you get the sports luxury model?
-
It's been 30+ degrees in Adelaide the past few weeks, and the A/C has held up beautifully.. it's my first summer in the car, and the dual zone a/c works wonderfully.

How'd you get on with those mudflaps barry?

Sorry for the crappy photo but here it is..

Bought them from an ebay seller called lindsayautoparts for roughly $100.
There is minor drilling required, but very clear toyota instruction manual on how to do that.

I'm using Autoglym wheel sealant on mine.. it doesn't repel, but it makes it easier to hose off. Seems to stay on for quite a long time, so far about 2 months and it still has a healthy coat of sealant on the rim.
-
Perfect fitment, looks heaps better with them than without. I'll try to get photos over the weekend.

Been reading up over on detailparadise forums and the overclockers motoring forum and the general consensus there is that the only true form of paint protection is frequent sealant/wax. I'm personally not going to bother with paint protection on mine, it usually carries a healthy coat of dodojuice hard wax.
