  1. Yo, looks good actually. I'm looking for those inlays for my My09 made of wood (any wood, prefer brighter). Do you know someone who could supply me with that?
  2. OK my turn for some feedback about Meguiar's product experience. I contacted the local rep about their products and selection (for VIC - Ossie Palma @ 0419 590 699) - very good product support and knowledge. I was given absolutely every single instruction on how to wash (!) and apply different layers of different products with what cloths/micro-fibres etc.. Also - a list of products to buy, where to best buy them from, when, who to speak to to get the right price and everything. Ossie's help was just great. I've got a complete list of products to use from scratch to final finish if anyone needs it - I can e-mail it. Anyway - I equipped myself with Ultimate Car Wash + NXT Gen Tech Wax 2.0 Liquid, some cleaning cloths, wheel cleaner and drying materials. Since it was my first full car wax manually - I spent a long time on the complete process but the result - blown away. The car looks like new. Please note - let nobody tell you that the liquid wax can be applied in less than 30 minutes because it can't, unless you're using a professional AC powered applicator and on a small/compact car. Together wish full car wash, wax, wheel cleaning and interior cleaning - it took me ±2.5 hours. I'm sure with more experience the waxing procedure will take less and less time. Anyway - I'm not going anywhere else, the Meguiar's products have got me completely and the car looks just stunning (black Lexy 250 is a treat to look at when sparkling / mirror clean).
  3. LOL, this was a sample of a bad taste in judgment, I didn't like it and I wasn't trying to make a competition. If you feel this way - my apologies. I was only trying to push things forward instead of creating 5 threads about the same subject. (sarcasm mode on) BTW: it is Bartek, it is a name, a real one, not a nick-name. (sarcasm mode off) Your position sounds fair. I'm glad I've sparked this whole discussion so that others can finally pull the fingers out and start making quality logos because MS Paint created things just don't cut it anymore these days so I hope to see more quality logos too here. Lets agree on one thing - the deadline. Any suggestions from Chris and Atlantis please? I'm flexible on this so it doesn't bother me. At the end of the day - like I wrote before - if I or other minority don't like the selected sticker - it won't land on the car(s). Not a great deal and we can't satisfy everyone so... do we need to put extra "!" and stress over it? I don't think so so relax people. I was only trying to help. If however my assistance is not required - please let me know, I'll be happy to sit back and observe others' creations and suggestions with a good ol' Blue Johny in my glass ;) (I'm having a big laugh because I turned PRO in bowling on Wii Sports and got my ball with stars now... no need to be stressed as you can see ROFL). Have a good night.
  4. I randomly selected the logos, since there is only 10 positions available. The last few that you have designed are in the poll, together with a few of mine so not sure what you're referring to. With respect to the polls - there are no rules actually that Admin/Mod only can do the polls, as far as I'm aware of. If the rules exists on this forum, I'd be happy to have them quoted from a particular link and to these rules of course I will adjust my actions. Since I've done a few pro designs - I do not wish to go into details about the quality of some of works, I will leave the decision on the logo for others. At the end of the day - we can either agree or not agree to a certain design on our car (read: have the sticker or not). Since one "designer" is out, I'm still alive and kicking (until I get a warn for something that I'm not aware of lol).
  5. OK I'm opting for the 2nd version of my sticker/logo which I have just attached in the previous message.
  6. We all have our opinions and rights to write them here and I have to say in your particular case - the cameras haven't got much to do with it. Yes they are there and they are there for safety. Sometimes they work / "serve the community" in a weird way but they are designed to keep us safe (no, not only to catch us speeding or driving like idiots through a red light). You can't blame a camera on the intersection because some random driver was tailing you in a nasty way. I know exactly what you mean and it frustrates the hell out of me too when someone in their $5k is driving like they don't care and putting your little pride and joy in dangerous situation. Of course - some people panic when they see a camera and do funny things, which cause accidents too but it is up to drivers to keep the safe distance. You can always write a letter to the local authorities if you get a fine explaining the situation and see what the outcome would be, since there are exceptions from rules but it is a gamble. My suggestion to you - next time you get an idiot like that - try pressing and releasing the brake pedal very softly so that the stop lights flash but the car doesn't slow down drastically. This way the guy behind (if he/she is smart enough, or he/she is not a P-plater LOL) would see something is wrong and start slowing down carefully or simply go mad and slam the brakes and start waving their hands like it is the end of the world. Works every time. Anyway, my 5c worth on the subject. Drive carefully and watch for other people like these (and something else I hate and not tolerate at all - people not using indicators).
  7. Can you send me the original PSD (that is if you do them in Photoshop)? I'll see what I could do with it as I'm not really a big fan of the above examples, would prefer the original one.
  8. Drilling a hole is the old method of getting some more "oomphy" noise. Yes sure do it, on a '95 Magna or something else, not on a Lexus. You are making the car cheaper by doing so, voiding the warranty (if anything goes wrong). Congratulations on the new/future car, good choice but please don't make it cheaper with cheap mods. We understand you don't have much money while being at a uni but please - do it the right way. Maybe it is worth waiting and saving some $$$? Anyway, my 5c worth. At the end of the day it is your car and you will do whatever you like to it so don't take our recommendations as must-do things, we can only suggest/advise to the best of our knowledge (but still in my opinion Lexus with drilled holes to make it sound better is simply a ruined car).
  9. Nice one guys, I hope when the Melbourne meet comes up, we will have the people showing up in their beauties too!
  10. Hello All, Just wanted to send this link here as some people just omit the Australian Meets area so there it is - the Melbourne meet. For people interested in it - please let me know.
