  1. Oh I see.. so Legalis R is too quiet. I'm after exactly the same growl exhaust note as you are. Well I guess the IS250 only has a small V6, it'll never sound like a V8 bark. Heard F-Sport is loud, what about just go invidia all the way, mid-pipe & exhaust.
  2. After reading "coolmeow"'s post on Fujitsubo Legalis R Catback, I'm now thinking to get this exhaust. http://au.lexusowner...showtopic=10452 Would Fujitsubo Legalis R bolts right onto Invidia Mid-Pipe?
  3. Cheapest I can find on eBay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/INVIDIA-MID-PIPE-MIDPIPE-TEST-PIPE-LEXUS-IS250-IS350-/270855759762 Price: US $363.00 Approximately AU $345.68 Postage: US $184.00(approx. AU $175.22) Total: $520.9 AUD Is this a good price?
  4. As above! Want to know too! Chatswood Lexus Service manger told me they won't have them anymore.... -_-
  5. Update! Report back after 75000KM at Chatswood Dealer. Problem 7 - Braking Noise with Aftermarket Brake Pads Sorted! Well, 99.9% Sorted! Got the dealer to apply the Bendix Brake Lubricant, works beautifully! No more squeaking! Highly recommendated to anyone having braking noise problem. The lubricant is also available at AutoBahn for $2.5 a pack. Advice from Sherlock - ONLY apply a little bit between SHIM and back of the pads, also a little on the lips of piston. Problem 8 - Engine Clicking Noise Sorted! Dealer confirmed direct injection noise... my mind is now in peace. Question 5 - Recommended Non-Dealer Service Workshop Still open for suggestions, but I took the car to Chatswood Lexus this time and very happy with them. So I guess I'll go back to them for future major services until the car depreciates to a certain low value. Question 9 - Auto Folding Side Mirrors Dealer confirmed Pre Aug 2007 IS250 DOES NOT have this feature! So aftermarket solution only -> Ashpoint http://au.lexusowner...showtopic=10473 So this concludes all my newbie questions, thanks all that helped (I really hope more people can share their knowledge on this forum!!!) Happy to leave thread open for comments or close off when the MOD sees fit. Cheers!
  6. Drove my IS250 to Lexus Chatswood today for a 75000KM service. Offered me a CT200H F Sport as a courtesy car, which is not what I hoped for but still an interesting little car. The excess from Chatswood is $2500, and if you purchase an optional $45 insurance, they'll reduce down to $500. And I didn't want to take my chances so I paid the insurance.
  7. Cool mate, thanks for the confirmation. I'm getting car serviced at Chatswood Lexus tomorrow, will find out from the dealer as well.
  8. Danny bro, got tight up this weekend, couldn't drive out meet you. Still got bunch of questions about the IS250, body-kit, exhaust etc. Seeing we got a few more new IS250 owners on-board. I bet we all need the community support to help understand our car. So really looking forward to the next group meeting mate!
  9. Hey Bro, PMed you back. New IS250 owner too, check out my post, newbies problems and questions. New problems found!!!! http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11298 Welcome to the Club! Share the knowledge yo!
  10. New Problem! - Problem 8 OK, this is the first Lexus I own, so please excuse my paranoid suspicions... On the way home today, I noticed the car is making clicking noise constantly. It didn't seems to be this noisy when I first brought the car two weeks ago, but again I usually have loud music playing... boom boom pow! So I poped the hood and found the noise is coming from the engine bay, click click clicking cking.... or (dadadadadadaaa......) Here is a recorded mp3 file of the noise: So I did some searches and found people who have experienced the same noise came up with three possibilities: Direct Injection Fuel Pump Noise http://au.lexusowner...?showtopic=8617 Direct Injection Injector Noise http://au.lexusowner...showtopic=11028 Defective Cam Gears - Recall, Water Pump, Drive Belt or the Drive Belt Tensioner http://au.lexusowner...showtopic=10157 Now before I get Chatswood Lexus to check it out, can anyone confirm if your IS250 has/hasn't got this problem?
  11. Update! Going to buy the "[X]" decal from Chatswood Lexus, cost $53, cheaper than the eBay one. Thanks all for the help. New Problem! - Problem 7 After install EBC Greenstuff Brake Pads (Or Any aftermarket brake pads in general.), brakes now squeaking/more noisy than OEM, pretty annoying... especially when GF complaining the noise. When I brought the rotor and pads from Sherlock, he kindly gave me some Bendix Brake Lubricant, say they'll do the trick on silencing the noise. So going to my mechanic in next a few days to give them a try. Any other ideas?
  12. Hey Sherlock, yeh my colleague serviced his wrx at MRT before, said it wasn't cheap almost same as the dealers, guess no way I'm going there! Got the DBA rotor & pads installed by my mechanic yesterday, the car feels breaking a lot better now. :) Thanks Champ!
  13. Updated! Thanks to Danny & Sherlock for your help. New Question - Question 6 My IS250X comes with [X] badges at both sides, one side got a "]" fallen off from high pressure car wash maybe?, so right now it looks like "[X". Hoping to fix it up. Any online shops to buy OEM [X] badge? Checked Sewell, North Miami, don't seem to carry the [X] badge. I know I can go local dealer, but don't really wish to pay hundreds for a set of badges. Btw, searched forum, can't find any real info.
  14. Hi Guys, Just brought a 2007 IS250X today, has been looking for one for sometime, finally this one comes up. I'm full of joy at the moment, really happy to become a Lexus owner! Got a few questions would like to seek your helps on: 1. Does the 07' IS250X come with HID headlight? (My car bumper doesn't have headlight washer, so I guess no HID?) - Sorted! Ordered 55W H11 set for low beam and 9006 set for fog-light, both 6000K from USA Retro-solution. 2. What aftermarket HID kit can I use? D2S Bulb? Any recommendation? - As Above 3. What's the OEM tyre & size for the IS250X? Any other brand you recommend? - Sorted! Got a good deal on a set of Toyo Proxes 4 from Taleb Tyres, not the best but does the job. Thanks to Danny for the size info. 4. Any recommendation on brake pads? Or just go with OEM? - Sorted! Thanks to Sherlock, brought DBA T2 slotted front rotor and EBC greenstuff pads from him. Installed, very nice, a bit nosier than OEM but no worries. :) 5. This is for Sydney siders, which workshop do you recommend for servicing? Rhodes or Chatswood area. - Still open for suggestions, but I took the car to Chatswood Lexus this time and very happy with them. So I guess I'll go back to them for future major services until the car depreciates to a certain low value. 6. Any online shops to buy OEM [X] badge? Checked Sewell, North Miami, don't seem to carry the [X] badge. - Sorted! $53 from Chatswood Lexus, so even cheaper than eBay. I guess I'll just buy from them. 7. After install EBC Greensuff Brake Pads (Or Any aftermarket brake pads in general.), brakes now squeaking/more noisy than OEM, pretty annoying... especially when GF complaining the noise :P. - Sorted! Bendix Brake Lubricant Fix http://www.bendix.co...brake_lubricant 8. Engine Clicking Noise - See my post below: http://au.lexusowner...indpost&p=37483 - Sorted! Dealer confirmed direct injection noise... 9. Auto Folding Side Mirrors - Sorted! Dealer confirmed Pre Aug 2007 IS250 DOES NOT have this feature! So aftermarket solution only -> Ashpoint http://au.lexusowner...showtopic=10473 Thanks in Advance! Kyo
  15. Hi there, are you refering to the Handling or Drivetrain? Cos I'm buying a prestige, and going to install coilovers. But if sports handles better, then I might save $$ on coilover and go for a sport instead.
  16. Wow... that white one in TAS already sold. It was only advertised less than a week. I set my mind up for either a white or black. Black is a b!tch to maintenance tho... white IS250 is just sleek.
  17. Thanks mate. I've signed up auto alerts on carsales, but only a handful of white IS250 around atm, mostly over my budget. This one looks good, not sure if it's got EMV. And it's in TAS. I'm waiting on the owner reply. Will let ya guys know how it go.
  18. It's a good thing to known Lexus holds value :) Yeh, my budget it limited, mainly looking for a 06' prestige.
  19. Hello there, In market for a white IS250 with black interior. Don't really mind with trim level. But EMV and sun roof is essential. The usual stuff - low km, full service history, non-smoker, no accident, leather seat. Preferable in NSW. Budget is 40k. Regards William
  20. Hi All, Name is William from SYDNEY, currently driving a 06' Honda Integra. Getting married next year, looking for a more comfortable but yet sporty car. Looking at used Lexus IS250, BMW 325, Audi A4 2.0T. Budget is $40k. I'm more leaning towards the IS250 at the moment for its sleek looking, reliability, low maintenance cost. But hasn't ruled out the other two cars yet. I absolutely love the white colour on a IS250 with black interior. Don't really mind with trim level. They all the same engine aren't they? But EMV and sun roof is essential. There are not many white IS250 on carsales at the moment. If anyone here or know someone is selling one, do let me know. Hope to join the Lexus community soon. Cheers William
