  1. Nice wheels Danny, when you getting them? Chris, people with the V1's have said they tend to 'clunk' now and then - car looks good tho!
  2. I'll come along...hopefully my coils will have arrived by then, if not, always happy to help other guys with their cars. Let us know how the mirrors go as well!
  3. Nice pics Chris! Thanks for coming guys! It was good to see the old guys again and also meeting new people - let's get double digits next time!
  4. I think most of the guys here did their intakes themselves. My friend helped me with mine and it took 15-20 minutes, just be careful when taking the engine covers off, we lost one of the pins when popping them off XD
  5. Ooh misread the first post - yeah, more traction, IMO, a staggered setup looks better too!
  6. 18's on the IS are staggered - 225/40/18 fronts, 255/40/18 rears - just have a look at your tyres, they'll have the specs on them.
  7. That sounds great...thanks alot for putting in the time and effort to make the stickers! I hope this will serve as an incentive for more people to come...still haven't hit double digits yet Looking forward to the meet!
  8. Nah... +20's are too aggresive - this is a daily driver so I went with +36 all round... still need to roll the fenders tho :D
  9. Is it that bad Justin? My car doesn't rattle...have you tried taking it to the dealer?
  10. Stupid FedEx delivered ONE wheel -hopefully I'll get the other three tomorrow. 18x9F 18x10R 19's with offsets that would fit an IS had no tentative production date, so I just went with 18's. I'll have them mounted for the next meet!
  11. I would go for the IS350 for sure - the stuff that comes with the F-Sport (which aren't really F-Sport accessories; they're just bits from the ISF and the old sports package) are nice, but I prefer the added power. :D If you really want the rims, you could always buy the 350 and the rims - or you can get the 350 with the sport package (assuming there is one) If power doesn't matter, just go for the 250. ML stands for Mark Levinson - its the upgraded sound system. Hope this helps.
  12. What tyre sizes are you running and are your fenders rolled? Definitely gonna look great once you get it lowered!
  13. I haven't experienced it, but carbon build up seems to be a problem on some cars: found this thread on CL - http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-second-generation/484055-lexus-4gr-fse-engine-carbon-build-up-merged-threads.html hope it sheds some light on the situation
  14. Last week of July sounds good. Hopefully my car will be done by then :D
  15. It's a bit too blue for me Chris - maybe have it the same blue as your fog overlays?
  16. A resonator + muffler delete is most likely gonna be cheaper than getting an axle-back. I've heard clips of the resonator delete and it sounds pretty good IMO. Not sure how a muffler delete is gonna sound though - prolly gonna be crazy loud tho! Doesn't hurt to try - and you can always weld them back on if you don't like it Don't make the same mistake I did - get the intake before you change up your exhaust! You'll appreciate it much more. ;) The bodykit kinda looks like a cross between the JP Vizage and the INGS kit - the back is ugly IMO.
  17. Prolly won't be getting coils until my wheels arrive Chris - plus I'm broke atm :(
  18. So you're going with the BC Racing coilovers? I've read that quite a few guys on CL who have them say they 'clunk' which is why I'm hesitant in getting them. They are cheap tho!
  19. Justin, have you tried looking at the vendors on CL? I'm getting my rims from one of them and I got a great price. I think Danny got his gfx kit from Carson (correct me if I'm wrong) and it cost way less than the $2600 you were quoted. I got the rear lip spoiler for about ~$350 (from Sewell, painted and shipped next day). Shipping's gonna be a btch, but you're still saving money. :) Hey Danny, what coils are you getting? I want to have a set of coils by the time I receive my wheels. I'm looking at Tanabe Sustec Pro 5's atm.
  20. I agree with Danny on this one. Replicas are hit or miss in regards to fitment. You may get lucky and get one that fits perfectly or a badly made one with visible gaps. I'd definitely prefer to shell a bit more cash for an original product, but that's just me :) Do it once, do it right. B)
  21. Looks like the JP Vizage kit - I like it. Although $900 seems a bit cheap; so it may be a replica - don't know how well the fitment would be.
