Just in case any of you lot are out and about through the bars/clubs tonight I'm DJing at Lenin bar,Princess wharf,downtown in Auckland from 10pm till 4 am ish-Pop on by and say hi,sure i can arrange a drinkies for ya(but not if you're diving,of course)... We can supply a genuine Toyota surround(pricey tho) at around $299.00nz-but I'm sure matt can land an aftermarket one cheaper-also, D1Tezza has aftermarket surrounds available I believe...

I'd love one-it's the one big performance mod i'd like to do to my 'Tezza-the only down side is the exchange rate beween UK and NZ $..... It would be over 8 grand NZ landed here,and thats still without fitting! If it wasn't the money factor I would've had one on my car soon as I'd bought it! hmmm.... the more i think about a blower the more I need to explain to the missus why I'm gonna be working all those extra hours...... :D

I have a TRD on my car-nice note,definately quiet and unobtrusive.

It can also be caused by irregular tyre wear-if you drove for quite some time with the car out of alignment/balance,it can cause the tyre to wear unevenly-so when you do get it aligned/balanced the tyre sits on the road uneven,causing shudder through the steering wheel....

Now that the club membership is increasing daily,I thought it'd be kinda nice to know who is where,and how many.I'm guessing most of our NZ members are around the greater Auckland area,but would like to see how many are in the other centres(Hamilton,Wellington etc...) This will allow members in the same area to actually KNOW who they see driving past everyday! Ya may get a suprise and find out there are more owners in your area then you may think..... Me,I'm Auckland based-but travel to Wellington,Christchurch fairly regularly. Off ya go then...... ;)

I got mine(after hearing about it from 4rollin) from ST High Tech in Newmarket- Talented guys,head tech used to work for Toyota in Japan,knows a bit about the Tezza's....

The standard IS200 dash in UK reads to 150 mph(with kph as well)-tho I'm unsure if it would be compatable with the 4cyl motor,and TRD do a 300kph speedo cluster. In regards to the engine cut-Mine didn't have one(worked ecu)but I have installed the APEX RSM which allows facility to override both the speed and rev limiters... or pre-set your own.

He thought he'd gotten that one past the club,but BUSTED!!! The NZ LOC first ever birthday announcement goes to......MUZZA!!! Happy birthday bruv,have a wicked day-hope you get lots of cake but not too many candles. ;) This'll start a new topic....AGES GUYS?? B)

Heya hoon-glad you made it. I pulled the pre-cats out of my last altezza,and it did sound a bit tinny-A good rear muffler should cover it up tho...?? We have just started having regular meets(last sunday)which gives us a chance to exchange ideas,and see how each other are developing their cars. Will make some enquiries as to whether removal of the cats will benefit performance,or if these motors are reliant on a bit if back-pressure,and a simple cat back system(such as mine)will be sufficient.
