  11. Righto all NZ members, We all know that our cars can do with as much protection to their paintwork as possible-in particular the later Lexus have a rather soft paint compound used. NZ LOC can now offer a full range of different stages of grooming services, which are as follows: 1) Full wash:Vehicle hand washed, wheels cleaned and vehicle hand dried. ($20) 2)Interior clean:Inside Vacuumed, dash & Trim cleaned and protected, inside windows cleaned.($30) 3)Mini Groom:Vehicle washed down, wheels cleaned, inside vacuumed, dusted, protected.Windows cleaned and tyres siliconed.($40) 4)Full Groom:Vehicle blasted through all door jams etc.Vehicle washed down, wheels cleaned, inside vacuumed, dash and trim cleaned, windows cleaned inside/outside,tyres siliconed and paintwork waxed.($75) The main reason I put this offer together is for the coupe de grace, which I had done to my car prior to my photo shoot. 5) TEFLON: Teflon is a non-stick wax coating which is fortified in the paint work to form a barrier to prevent industrial fallout and UV rays. (this would normally be around $200.00 ) $80 Lemme know if anyone is interested at any stage. This groomer has done many of my vehicles over the years and his work is faultless. Regards, Gav B)
  12. 100 proof I hear! Now I'm as confused as anyone as to what may(or may not) be under the hood on my car!(newbie on the technical side of these motors and going on what I've been told by knowledgeable people). Hey Greeneyes, you up for this dyno day coming so we can have our showdown? ;) (will ease my mind on est vs dyno'd performance figures too) Regards, Gav B)
  13. Yep- put an offer forward and it's just been accepted. I now own my first home! Kinda scarey seeing all those zero's on an amount of money that I now owe to some rich, over zealous banking association-but I tell you,it's all worthwhile when I take possesion on 4th July(ironically US independance day) 1/4 acre section-2500 sq ft 3 level home-Central Heating, air con,Spa pool and if ya walk out of the driveway, turn right and walk 20 metres you're on the beach lookin over the islands.... But most impotantly,A DECENT GARAGE!complete with loft storage, remote opener and built in fridge....My 'tezza finally has a house of it's own(sigh) Regards, Gav B) Now who wants to come to the housewarming? Already working on the DJ lineup,no cover charge, and beverages complimentary of course....Date to follow!
  14. (off topic breifly) Should be pickin up your decals on sunday Sportline/Greeneyes..... let ya know soon as they are in my possession and I'll drop them out to ya! B)
  15. Hey peeps, Just lettin ya know I've finally gotten motivated enough to scan th NZPC article I did couple weeks ago... 4 pages are up in The NZ Gallery Lemme know what ya think,ya? Cheers, Gav B)
  16. Sorry Mat-my bad-just gettin carried away in all the excitement.....
  17. oh yeah-forgot to mention-NO TRACTION CONTROL!! :P
  18. real keen on checkin out your car in more depth TRD, gotta head to work till 3am our time, now 10.45pm.... will pm you with my email-would like your opinion on my car-wouldn't mind a few extra ponies, but am unsure best option due to higher compression? Maybe I'll just have to use a big blue bottle.....(sigh) :P
  19. I've never tried timing it-i myself am still learning about these motors, purely going on what I've been told at this stage.... Tis an auto,so bit sluggish off the line but once those cams start openin its a real smile mobile! Average file size for each of the four page article is 3.5 Meg-ya still want it?? Email maybe-save uploading all that space to the gallery?
  20. Melbourne is all good...stayed there for a few months in the late 80's(ouch,gettin old gav) May have to pop back at some stage.... Australasian meet, guys?I could use a decent drive! ;) Gav B)
  21. Thems soundin like fightin' words Keith!! ;) Trd 328-Had my car looked over by the boys at performance car magazine, they assesed it over a full day,and tell me the following is different from the norm. 1: It's a DUAL STAGE vvt-i,unlike my previous IS that was only a single. 2: The 1gfe is running a compression ratio that is higher than standard(11.5:1) 3: The computer is a re-programmeable rom-simply plug into a tuning port. It also has a (plug in)type chip setup.(unsure about normal ecu's) 4: Limited slip rear end Their results and experts tell me the car is in the vicinity of 160kw. I've got the article which I'd love to post for you guys to check out-but everytime I scan the mag pages they end up as MASSIVE file sizes,so would take forever to up/download. Can anyone offer me scanning advice on doing a full A4 size, full color article that will be of a smaller size?? Been trying but my graphics knowledge is somewhat newbie.... Hope this info helps, Regards, Gav. B)
