I thought that was a case too but a forum member bought a kit from Sewell and said it fit no problems: http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/8097-sports-pedals/?p=17171 Yes I understand, but think about it, the left hand drive pedals haven't really changed, the accelerator is on the right hand side, the brake is in the middle and the footrest is on the left and the slope of the footrest is still the same. The total cost from eBay US is $137.47 + $31.38 postage, so total Australian Dollars $168.85 delivered. Sewell's postage is not viable. These are the part numbers but I don't think any Lexus dealer will be able to match this price. I wonder if any forum members are also interested.

This was just a tongue and cheek comment. QUOTATION FROM 2010 "Toward the end of last summer (September 30, 2009) we reported that Toyota was recalling 3.8 million cars and trucks made between 2005 and 2010. At the time, the company claimed this was merely a problem with “accessory all-weather floor mats” sold in some models. In other words, it had nothing to do with the vehicle itself. The remedy was simply to remove the driver-side floor mat. Shortly after, in late November, we reported on another Toyota announcement that they would “fix” the problem by installing shorter accelerators in the recalled Toyota and Lexus vehicles. So it wasn’t a poorly designed floor mat, but a gas pedal that was too long? Skip forward to January of 2010 and things begin to heat up for Toyota. They announced a recall on millions of vehicles made between 2005 and 2010 because of a mechanical problem with the accelerator. And just today (February 2nd, 2010) CNN is reporting that federal investigators are looking into whether the sticking accelerators are a result of a mechanical problem or if the issue has to do with the electrical system – in which case, the recent fix announced by Toyota would not actually be addressing the problem".

Yes, I agree, I have asked Lexus during the warranty period what they use and they use a Toyota Brand semi-synthetic oil. I said I wish to use a full synthetic oil and they said the best was Mobil 1 5W 30 and were happy for me to supply it (otherwise they would have to order it in specially at a Lexus premium cost) - Unfortunately it takes 6.3 litres so I had to purchase 2 x 5 litre containers then they would return the balance to use at the next service (no refund for the Toyota semi-synthetic oil as I had the 3 year FREE service when I bought the car). I totally recommend the Mobil 1 and i have used the 5W 30 Mobil 1 on a 2.2 litre Celica SX from brand new and with no oil burning at 198,000kms (also used Shell Premium 95 before the 98 came out).

A friend of mind had the option of taking out the Lexus extended warranty on her IS250, it had to be taken before her 3 year warranty expired with Lexus and she did, similar price, and shortly after that she needed a new water pump (cost about $2000.00 from Lexus). I hope this helps 3 years is quite a long time.

Keep us informed how you go, I put some 6000K HIDs into existing 2010 headlights, these were done before the DRL model came out. It was a job done by a motorsports garage, they knew what they were doing and suggesting removing the bumper and placing the ballast under the head lights. This was a much neater job then placing the ballasts in the engine bay. The car was still under new car warranty so I did want any noticeable add ons, then replaced the fog and main beam with Phillips 5000K Halogen so all the lights look same colour.

Pearl White and the Sport Luxury (without the sport pack). Sweet!

Welcome, I really like the IS200 and put some photos up of your car.
-
Hi, Can you put photos of the car, the Sports Luxury has all the bells and whistles.

I agree, they mix it up for you and can adjust if not correct. I have used them before in Balcatta Road.

Being an ISF I would spend the $2000. I have an 2010 IS250 and optioned not to have the extended warranty but if I had an ISF, then I would.

Hi Tony...The guys at the tyre shop said it's ok as the aspect ration sill the same (235/40/18). I've driven the new tyre for about 2 weeks now. and it seems ok. I mean it's hard to notice if the speedo off, but when I do 100km/h on eastern freeway looks like my speed is the same like any other car around me hahaha. Preety lame method of testing huh? :) Hi Tony, The aspect ratio is still the same so it will not affect the speedo. I am definitely going to get these - can you show photo of the sidewall with the rim, I would like to see how much the tyre sticks out from the rim. Kuhmo has sent me pictures of the KU22 tyre but it doesn't show anything because it is not on a rim. It's not just the aspect ratio which affects the speedo, it's the Rolling diameter. In your case 225/40/R18 is 637.2mm and the new one 235/40/R18 is 645.2mm which will result in a -1.26% error. If the seepdo is calibrated correctly when it's showing 100/kph the car will be doing only 98.74 kph; a slight under-read... I have been told that some car manufacturers under calibrate the speedo to show a percentage less, they mus then adjust the SatNav as well. I guess this is to avoid any class action to them in case you are picked up for speeding and claim the speedo was in error.
