  1. Turn those screws left (like you would any screw), they are not meant to be removed, only loosened. Then the plastic covers should come off (give it a little help if need be) Mind you one of mine popped off and i lost it.
  2. I just say it as I see it :P Can't complain with $35 though, that's cheaper than getting new sets of halogen globes plus its slim. Gotta love aus -> us rates
  3. yeah 55w professional. Yeah i think they are steep but given that they use branded components (ie phillips), maybe it's worth? Hmmm.... I wonder if it is confirmed to be phillips components? I think it's just the bulb, best to check. 55w as said earlier would be too bright.. mines 35w and really bright. Also would help with the life of the bulb. I hope I don't get crucified for this one, but I admit that I'm guilty for getting my kit (shipped as well) for $35 off ebay =P Installed within a few hours (yes, I take my time). So far, so good. Love the colour. It's not the overdone purple (which, by the way, looks fantastic on pearl white IS250s), but just the very neutral white colour, only to complement its elegant looks. I've got a 35 off ebay as well, supposedly 4300k looks like 6000k when turned on, takes awhile (read: ages) to adjust and light cut off is bad. The one I have in my car was $110 and colour accuracy when turned on is good, no issues with dispersion or light cut off.
  4. Oh yeh I was supposed to road test it for Michael, here goes: I got it installed by a mechanic/electrician as I lacked the tools(It cost me $150)required was soldering iron, screwdriver (pop the panels), wire strippers/crimpers (or in my case razor), stanley knife (remove existing tape), ratchet, electrical tape and double sided tape The unit felt sturdy and solid although the epoxy used to seal the wires seemed tacky. I am not too sure the material of the wire but it definitely was not copper like those used in the Lexus. The actual installation went without a hitch, it took an hour and a half to complete. This included going through the installation manual as well as making sure everything worked throughout the process. Taking out the panels was easy and self explainatory. (screwdriver, ratchet) Have to remove courtesy light connector as well as door lock mechanism (don't think instruction mentioned that) In our models, the connector is white and not the black one used overseas. I put the control box in a little pocket just right next to where the power window switch is located (double sided tape used) So far few weeks in and works good.

  8. assuming you take your car to lexus then that wouldn't be an issue. i took it to a local to get it replaced, and they put in crappy ones which was the problem.
  9. Well once i had my pads replaced and it made that noise, so the mechanic changed them to 'premium' pads and noise stopped. mind you it was an is200

  12. yeah i got it from ebay BTW some guy swerved into my lane when I was driving and scraped the side of my car and my side mirror got screwed. (his fell off) when I signaled him to turn left into a driveway, he from behind sped off. I did a uturn to get back to the road try to find him but he was gone. I didn't get his no. plate. gona be $$ to repair... sorry for off topic but i'm so cut atm.
  13. Surprisingly it is smooth and the ride is not harsh at all. In fact it still feels soft When I read others post it seemed like the change would be really drastic but imo it's not. Chris drove it abit so he could tell u more.
