  1. Thanks for the info guys!

With my current hid setup, I followed the DIY guide on the Club Lexus forum, drilled holes on the headlight housing cover to run the wiring out to the ballast. This particular aftermarket HID conversion kit came with plugs that sealed up the holes nicely.

Now with this new headlight, I thought about using the OEM ballast, but all info I heard is that it'll require baking the headlight, open up to insert the OEM ballast properly. This sounds a bit risky and complicate to me. So I opted to go aftermarket HID instead.

Since I already has the aftermarket ballast, I've since purchased a new set of D4S bulbs for the new headlight.

Did you buy d4s for your existing ballast?

  2. It was a pretty good festival, variety of cars/clubs up on the hill and supercars along the garage, and deus ex section was good as well.

Food/drinks was expensive and bad though.

I captured a video of Jeremy racing the LFA against the rocket which was pretty cool I guess, just hearing the v10 note is always a good thing.

Also what made it better was being in pitlane with 3fingersneat/Blazeunit and the Bacchus guys getting to see everything go by upclose.

I'd say as a whole it's a good format, something for nearly everybody. There were people who had never seen drifting before or supercars that close either.
I know the parents I spoke to were excited that their kids could see up close a drift car.

^entered at 9:30 and exited at 4:30, all fine for me, no queues or traffic (prepaid), though I came from the quiet side along ferrers road.

  3. How much did the kit + shipping cost if you don't mind me asking? I have my 60k km coming up too.

Sewell has very expensive shipping to Australia, does anybody know another Lexus parts website with cheaper shipping to Aus?

Also another thing, where can I purchase EBC Greenstuff or Redstuff?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks alot.

    Front Pads: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001C955FI/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Rear Pads: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EBC-Brakes-DP31586C-EBC-Redstuff-Ceramic-Low-Dust-Brake-Pads-/190985580201?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c77a0aea9&_uhb=1

Amazon doesn't ship the rear pads to Australia.

Regarding the 60k kit sewell has. It refers to their 60,000 Mile

service. It includes the spark plugs which are only needed on our major

90k km service. So just a heads up.

In terms of shipping, you could try using a forwarder to reduce shipping costs from sewell or get items to ship that amazon won't send.

For other Lexus parts (from US) you could try san diego or north miami through their ebay contact. They usually have cheap shipping.

  4. Hello all, I just bought a 60K service kit from Sewell, would you guys have any idea how much if would cost in labour to service at a Lexus Dealer? Preferably Lexus of Chatswood. I also have a JoeZ intake installed, would that be a problem? Do I have to go back to stock?

Also another thing, where can I purchase EBC Greenstuff or Redstuff?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks alot.

Your best bet is to just call them and tell them you have the parts and they will give you a quote. Your joez intake pipe shouldn't be a problem.

  5. or a graphite 2010 Prestiage with all options with 10,103k's for $43K sitting in my garage

Haha, appreciate the effort, although I'm literally looking at cars at half the price you're proposing.

Hmm, you definitely haven't been driving much at all!

    1. bonnet is not closed properly

    2. easy fix as the lip is in 2 piece from factory anywayz

looks like a dump just got the joints loose

It looked closed along the sides though, that's why I assumed otherwise.

It's sold now anyway, it had about 80,000kms and was going for $21,990. :(

At least this gives me hope over the next few months that deals like this are achievable.

Whats your max'm budget? Above deal did seem to fit what you are looking for. Did you inspect it?

    Like

above, the 2 piece lip etc is an easy fix. Don't let that deter you,

besides you could haggle them down for that and fix it yourself for less

    afterwards.

  6. astroe, just a few bits that weren't covered.

any grade in these older models with emv means it has MarkLev (ie same soundsystem)

sports lux doesn't have sports suspension, that is the sports.

same with bodykit, they were an option on all grades and not unique to any.

all grades come with leather except sports.

And best way is to check build/compliance date on the car to see which you have.
