  1. Here's a set up of my wheels with the ISF ones on and some edited photos too :P They're 19" ISF ones staggered fit 19x8 and 19x9.5, 255 on the back and 235 on the front, the front guards at stock height scrub against the inner wall but not against guard, but I love them :) Always wanting to drop it but worried about the whole scrub issue. The guy's at Tyrepower Hawthorn hooked me up with a good deal in Victoria so if anyone else is interested hit them up :)
  2. Hm... well for the owners of the M2, how much drone do you get? Would the M2 be louder than the F-sport? or Vice Versa? I want a nice note but don't want it TOO loud.. And mines and Auto
  3. Hey guys just curious, do you get much drone with the M2? I've been reading into it but not 100% sure yet. I carry a lot of passengers with me and don't want the noise to be annoying for my parents. It would be running alongside the K&N intake. Also, I looked into the F-sportt exhaust system, has anyone purchased this? If so, would this be a better option?
  4. Well mine isn't heavily modded either. Only has ISF wheels and intake and HIDs installed. But id love to see a few of the Melbourne IS's to get together, would be cool :)
  5. That's one hell of an expensive chocolate and vacuum... Yeah.. definitely not gonna go to Lexus for that service lol
  6. BC BR Coilovers. Definitely the way to go as you can change stiffness and ride height as you please so that you can get the comfort you desire. And if the cops say its too low, go home and raise it problem solved whereas springs you don't have that option. And if you just get new springs, I'd highly recommend getting new shocks too... But yeah, I'm saving up to get myself these coilovers soon hopefully :) Gotta get new rotors first though :(
  7. Just had my K&N CAI installed! Very easy and fun DIY. In the market for some rain visors for the windows... can anyone suggest some that look good? Photos on eBay are a bit hard to tell :/
  8. The mod is crazy, fun and ridiculous.. but only half works and I do need some expert computer assistance... I have a 2009 IS250, it has the flyaudio unit installed with the ipod, usb connectors already set up in the glove box (I bought the car like that)... Anywho, my crazy idea was... what if I was able to play games inside my IS250? More specifically... a Super Nintendo etc. How you ask? Well.. lol I've purchased a Rasberry Pi, runs android based I believe just like a mini computer, my friend loaded up with emulator and HEAPS of games to self boot everytime the rasberry pi is turned on. The rasberry has audio out, usb for power and video out as well as well as extra USB for my N64 controller adaptor to work. So, I used the USB for power in the flyaudio plugs, booted up all fine. Connected the audio and video cables to a 3-Way joiner thingy to a 3.5mm in the AV-IN tab on the flyaudio unit, and boom, audio works fine, you can hear everything perfectly.. but then says no video signal detected. Frustrated, I plugged in a camcorder to see the difference, video worked fine... So I used the same setup and hooked it up to my 32" Samsung TV without the 3-way connector, worked a treat, no issues. Confused and thought perhaps the 3-Way connector is busted I went back to the drawing board. I work at JB Hi Fi so getting equipment isn't hard.. and remembered that the Navman MYESCAPE comes with an AV-IN cable to do exactly what I want without the 3-way plug.. just audio/video to 3.5mm.. so i thought.. this has to work. I used that cable, with my setup ON the Navman and Voila! Success! No issues and works fine. Happy, I ran back to the car ecstatic to see this work in the same way and again, to my sorrow, same issue. Only audio, no video.. So my question... Does anyone have any damn idea what might be the issue? And if there are any female RCA ports left in the back of the unit to just scrap the initial set up and just RCA it in? Or.... do I have to give up entirely :( Any comments to this topic are appreciated.. lol
  9. well, essentially we all just rock up. Show off each other's cars and their mods, and then either we can all get food or go to a certian location for a giant bbq or just a drive, whatever haha. Just don't know many people that would be up for it
  10. Hey guys, I'm after a good axleback exhaust system for my is250 but keeping in a budget price, thus im looking for second hand products or something around the $500-700 mark or less. I'm also after a K&N or Injen CAI if anyone is selling one. I'm located in Victoria, so preferrably around there. Cheers.
  11. As the title suggests, is anyone in Victoria around Melbourne interested in a meet? Don't see many Lexus ones, plenty of JDM ones but yeah.. I'd be happy to organize something if anyone else is interested..
  12. Here's my IS250 build so far... Only had it for a short while around late March. -Max legal tint everywhere (I think that's 20%? Correct me if i'm wrong) -6000K HID kit for fog lights and low beams, and LED parkers (DIY is very helpful!) -19" ISF style wheels installed with 235 tyres at the front and 255 at the rear (dat phat ass :P) -Flyaudio unit but that came with the car when I purchased it Little snap I managed to get the other day when I just got my wheels! My next upgrades I'm thinking maybe a rear lip? Not entirely convinced on it's appearence though. Maybe paint the wheels a darker grey all around or even a black. Paint the calipers black. Really want to upgrade the exhausts to a chrome tip of some sort without drone and not paying through my butt. I really want a nicer note when I accelerate hence the exhaust, thought about a CAI but cos i'm still a P-plater it's a bit tough.. although I doubt the Police would REALLY notice and pull me up for it and be bothered ripping the entire engine bay cover to check but eh... dunno.. Any other suggestions?
  13. I'm interested as well.. I have the flyaudio head unit installed in my 2009 IS250 and I've seen some youtube vids on how to update maps but... I have no idea where to download the "Map file" from? :S Help would be appreciated
  14. Google? there's heaps. Or if you cbf installing HID just get a yellow overlay haha
  15. Yeah just when the car is about to come to a stop. The intial braking is fine, its when it's about to come to a complete stop the sound occurs.. So you think the pads are glazed?
  16. Hey guys, I have a FlyAudio headunit in my IS250 2009 Prestige, just wondering how I go about changing the maps on them? I want to switch it to TomTom maps (because they say they're supported) but where do I go to get the software? (free if possible ;) ) and what do I do to install? Thanks
  17. Hey guys I had a question I was hoping someone could answer. A while ago my 2009 IS250 Prestige started to make some 'grinding' noises everytime you hit the brakes, obviously it didnt sound good so I called up Lexus . They said the brakes needed replacing and quoted $980 installed for just 2 to be replaced.. the front ones. So i gave that a skip, went to my local brakes plus and they had a full check and said the front brakes are fine but the rears need replacing, $200 all done. All was fine for a couple of days but now the grinding noises comes back here and there but isnt always there.. I'm a bit concerned as to what it is? Any ideas? I'm a bit worried. There's no squealing of any sort.. just the deep 'grinding' noise. Any help?
  18. Hey guys, I've just purchased an IS250 and this is the first thing I'd like to do to it! I had an accord Euro before hand and that was relatively simple... but a few things I'd like to know are.. Are these the bulb types for the IS250? 1) Low beam (projectors) - D2S 2) Fog Lights - H11 3) Parkers - T10 4) High Beam - ??? Also, if you switch out the low beams, do you need to do special leveling? or does the little twisty knob level it correctly..
