Castrol Edge titanium 5W30.had 3 bottles lying around.Got the oil filter from Lexus(Toyota spares LOL) $25 what a rip for a cartridge and an O ring !! As my car is under warranty i really need to stick with genuine parts.

Ok.So my understanding is you CAN change the ATF in our cars! ilv1004s was it a dificult job?What was involved,any special tools required?

Not necessary but it does make removal of the cartridge housing easier.Last Saturday i changed oil and filter in my IS250.I didn't have this tool and used a chain filter wrench.I did cover the cartridge housing with some rubber strips so as not to scratch it.When i undid it it wasn't that tight,it came off fairly easy.Before i change my oil and filter next time i will get this tool.

Hi.I'm Tony,recently bought a new IS250X.Pearl white with sunroof.Impressed with this car coming from a Honda Accord Euro.Was looking at near new Merc.200C and BMW 3 series.I made the right choice i've heard only good reports from Lexus.Had the car nearly 6 mths. now and still enjoy driving it.I've sent RSVP for the meet at Sydney City Lexus Dec.7th.Looking forward to meeting other members on the night.

I'd recommend a transmision oil change using good quality full synthetic fluid.

Count me in.I'm new to ALOC so it'll be interesting to meet some of the members.

Sorry ,bit off topic but i'd be interested to know your thoughts on the Akebono pads performance over the stock pads once you've got them on for a while.
