  1. Monyx, Hey i have to x/force cat back system & there is NO drone at all yet the sound is awesome. If you are not sure speak to Dean at x/force head office in Sydney. The other bonus is 5YR warranty. Maybe you should meet up with Vaku sometime when possible & hear his, I know it is easy for us to say we love the sound and to appreciate it you need to hear it for yourself. Me myself being on the Gold Coast i took the punt after speaking to Dean at head office. Hope this helps. Cheers, Peter.K http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Throttle-Controller-Sprint-Booster-For-Lexus-RX-Hybird-IS250-IS350-CT200H-ISF-/181756954338?hash=item2a518f06e2:g:Hp8AAOSwLnBXXhe2 Check out this throttle controller. Nice & simple mod.
  2. Congrats on the purchase of your new beast. You`ll love it for sure as we all do. Be sure to give the exhaust and engine a little clean as you drive back from QLD just keep an eye of the photo snappers Keep me posted if you are still thinking of the seats.
  3. Hey buddy, If you are serious, then so am i. Naturally we would both want to be satisfied with the condition of leather. i live on the northern end of the gold coast just south of Movie World. You ? ? ?
  4. Hey, i have a `13, white nova with black leather. Swap ya for the white leather if ya get it Anyway which ever you choose you`ll love it for sure
  5. Definitely 20`s are the go. Based on what i just looked at, now with original tyre sizes on your beast, as follows, 225.40.19 now go to 235.35.20, 255.35.19 now go to 275.30.20. In Qld you can only go a 15mm under or 15mm over the overall tyre diameter. Any more and the speedo will be out. You will see the 20`s ( that i have listed above ) are about 13mm taller & will fill the gaurds nicely. Check out the link below & feed the sizes into the charts and see how you go. Hope this helps. http://www.etyrestore.com.au/tyre_calculator.php
  6. Guy`s there is no quality issues with the Xforce from what i can see from when I fitted it. As for spending more money on yank systems worth more ( due to our aussie dollar exchange rate only ) & *BLEEP* loads to ship to Oz does not equate to better system. Try having an issue with one of the yank systems & will see what happens then. Personally i did not go for a Varex system, WHAT FOR ! ! ! ! Boys it`s a V8, and there is no quite in V8 the last time i checked, geez.........
  7. Dam that XForce system sounds good
  8. And you did not even go over the speed limit
  9. BLK ISF So we do not get you in trouble, just by-pass 1 vacuum hose on your stock air box to keep the secondary flap open & listen to it roar more often. I did this when i first got my car but in the end I wanted more. K & N claim is around 20kw and it is probably right as you do feel the difference especially on WOT. As for heat soak, and being you live in NSW ( i`m guessing Sydney ) you would not really have any issues there. As for us in QLD ( gold coast ) slightly different story. I have removed my top engine cover as they retain too much heat in the engine bay. Better to flush all the hot air out the engine bay than keep it in there. And like i have said once before ( regarding heat soak ) we do not race them 24/7 or sit idle in HOT traffic all day. As for influencing.......... DAM RIGHT ! ! ! ! hehehehe
  10. Dcsrs200 Hey buddy do yourself a favour & read this article. It sold me. As for heat soak, any car stuck on the dyno, hot day in traffic etc etc will suffer from it. As for just only for sound no. Definitely more go as well as noise on WOT. Me myself i cannot fault the K & N intake at all, very happy with it. http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/1827/Project-Lexus-IS-F-Part-1-We-Test-the-KN-Typhoon-High-Flow-Air-Intake.aspx
  11. BLK ISF Glad to hear you get the sore jaw syndrome also,. nice isn`t. All you need now is the K & N intake and happy days ! ! ! ! From the first day i fitted my xforce system the wife says that i smile all the time haha. Mind you the wife hogs the car. So if you do not have it, fit the intake and it will be even harder to wipe that smile off.
  12. K&N 69-8703TS is the part number. Paste the number on ebay and it is sold everywhere. Cheers. P.S I actually rang onautos and ordered it over the phone. Took around 3 weeks out of the US.
  13. Hey Paul onautos.com.au, They are in Melbourne. Check out their website. As for heat soak we do not race them 24/7. On the dyno yes any car would suffer from it. Hot days yes also. BUT whilst driving there is plenty of air entering the engine bay. Cheers
  14. Hi Paul K & N intake. It is good for another 20kw. http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/1827/Project-Lexus-IS-F-Part-1-We-Test-the-KN-Typhoon-High-Flow-Air-Intake.aspx Read this article. That is what sold me.
  15. Guys i am sorry that these mp4 videos would be a pain in the arse. Did not realise they would take so long to upload. I am not you tubed so to speak....... sorry. 1 video is behind the car, the other inside & the last one is driving. Let me know how you go. Cheers.

  17. Hey Vaku Fitting was no problem at all. Took me and my son about an hour and a half. Although we took our time & carefully went through and checked everything. I fitted it with all the bolts etc loose and once it was all in place then secured all the flanges. We will take some video for you boys today and load them up tonight. I will only load up the video if i am happy with the sound from the phone so cross your fingers. An exhaust shop will fit the system in an hour easy. We would have done so also but took our time.
  18. Bchler - video is a little bit of pain in the arse. We took several but the sound through our phones was poor, although that day at the workshop was quite windy and noisy with vehicle traffic. We tried different angles for noise but were not happy with sound the phone produced. Will try again another time & see how we go.
  19. Hey guys Here are some pics of my system Took a while to work out how to get them on here but i did it. Cheers.
  20. Richie I got mine from Melbourne. Onautos.com.au. You will like it. Peter.K If you want you can get me at peterkal68@mail.com Easier for me that way, hahaha as i am not normally on here.
  21. Hi Richie They told aprox 40kw, but the general rule of thumb is that each car is different. Though it does feel a lot stronger so that figure would be close. Cheers. P. S Also fitted the K & N intake. Very nice also.
  22. VAKU, CAPS ? ? ? hahaha I am used to caps. The xforce system was designed for memory in 2009 or 2010. I actually rang them & had a good chat. The first fella to have one fitted & tested on went to the race track after it was fitted. Eastern Creek for memory. As for copy who knows, everything is copied these days. Our workshop is on the Gold Coast. Cheers.
  23. HEY VAKU QUALITY & PRICE IS SPOT ON. AS FOR NEGATIVE COMMENTS REGARDING WELDS ? ? ? ARE THE COMMENTATORS WELDERS/FITTERS ? ? ?. TO ME WELD QUALITY WAS SPOT ON. BEFORE I FITTED THE SYSTEM I CHECKED OUT THE QUALITY AND WAS CLEARLY SATISFIED. WE OWN OUR OWN WORKSHOP. BEEN A MECHANIC FOR 30 YEARS. CHEERS PETER.K
  24. HEY VAKU THE XFORCE LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO THE JOE Z SYSTEM. CHEERS PETER.K
  25. Hey Vaku NO VAREX. NOT TO SURE ON THE SOUND DIFFERENCE BUT AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE I WAS AFTER SOUND. MUST SAY THOUGH IT IS NOT LOUD & NO DRONE. CANNOT BE HAPPIER WITH IT. PETER.K
