  1. Lexus service said its normal. Prob closer to 600 than I stated.

TB been done. By upper engine clean I assume you mean inlet valves?  I dont think mine (350) has that issue.

Not really too worried but like to see what I can achieve.

When A/C on rises another 100 rpm and smooths out.

I found heaps of posts on USA forums with same queries, no real fix., but no one mentioned resetting idle A/C off so that what I was going to try next.

  2. I want to change my idle speed when AirCon Not on. ie up by 100rpm.
I have the cable but I cant find a section where I can make an adjustment.
Reason .. Idle is about 500 Aircon off. Give slightly rough idle. Lift to 600, smooth.
Changed and checked plugs etc.so just a tweak needed.

Search found similar ex: quote" If my A/C is off my idle is noticeably rougher than when it’s on." Seems to be a common issue but no one raised idle AC off.

  3. 48075-24010 / 48076-24010

Today I fitted a pair of these on the inner front lower control arms.

Pretty straightforward to fit. Jack up a bit keeping wheels 'just'on the ground, place safety stands, Loosen 2 bolts, nut and secondary bracket.  Lever arm to reduce tension and slide off. A a wipe of grease on shaft on install to stop corrosion. Tighten up TIGHT ;)

Can be even easier to fit on a hoist at your next service. Should take about 15 mins.

They are meant for the RC-F and GS-F

They have a harder Duro and a bit more rubber fill than 2nd Gen IS_X brackets so locate the arm better when under dynamic loads.

There are Poly ones available from Super Pro locally and FIGS etc in the USA but I wanted the quietness and no maintenance option.

1st driving opinions with just over 200k's today, both freeway and secondary bitumen roads.

Car drives straighter with less constant wheel corrections needed on the freeway.

Small movement of the steering wheel now transfers to movement at the road wheel. (less freeplay effect)

Coming up to intersections under hard braking the tram-lining from wear indentations was negligible :)

Overall the car tracks like it should of. I also have the inertia damper in the steering wheel that changed the feel but could not control the movement of poor resilient bushes.

There does not appear to be any more noise and I think only a small perception of more road roughness feel at the steering wheel.

Worth the $140 they cost landed.....sure thing

  4. Also keep in mind the min legal height AND the ratio of original suspension travel plus bumpstop clearances.

Dont know where you are but details will be on your local Vic roads, SA traffic, NSW etc etc web pages. A google search will give all the info.

Be aware that lowering a car does not always help with handling and road-ability and sometimes what feels quicker is not.. but it may look nice :)

  5. Is an LS350 the same as an IS350?

If so if you have the DVD map model it can be done from the post further down the page. If its the SD card version you are stuck with updates from Toyota only atm.

Note: DVD map version has 2 little holes each side of the lower clock panel that you insert a rod into to remove panel and show DVD map slot.

(The removal tools should be in the tool kit)
