Dvd On Is250 Prestige - 2011 Model

Hi all

I have just acquired a new is250 prestige with the navigation and rear view camera option. I am wondering if anyone has got the DVD player to play anything other then the map dvd. Also, the player is actually hidden behind the clock console.

You play a dvd by putting it where the music CDs are, but you have to be in park and have the parking brake on.

I just tried that - it came back with a message saying "check cd" and didn't play anything.

Yeap. The newer models can't play DVDs anymore. Cost saving I guess.

Omg! I just recently brought new IS250 prestige + sunroof + emv navi pack too!

It still getting shipped to me and I probably pick it up sometime next week.

I assumed it played DVD cause it had a screen. sigh!!!

I am going to contact Lexus and try to change my Prestige to Sport F version.

I've put down 1000 deposit on it, hopefully I do not have to lose it.

Reading the other comments in this thread, I compared the specifications of the 2010 and 2011 models of the IS250 SL on redbook.com.au's website - there seem to be a few other nice features of the 2010 model that have been dropped as well.
