  1. Selling mine if anyone's interested http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/lexus-is250-2006-13560693 Also...how annoying that there are quite a few non sports luxury models advertised as sports luxury!
  2. I think they're awesome. Check out the 'key' from a i-tech prius if you want cheap and nasty! same functions, mostly, but very lightweight and lacks the solid feel. I recently forgot my key in my jeans and put them in the washing machine. No damamge whatsoever, and no water got inside! I was amazed (and happy) I wouldn't want to try that with the prius equivalent, that's for sure.
  3. Doesn't the "voice" on the map button just force a navigation instruction? That's what it does on mine, anyway.
  4. This is what redbook says, but I find their prices usually inflated. Private Price Guide $51,500 - $56,200 * Trade In Price Guide $44,500 - $49,200 By the way, cars just aren't selling. Times are tough!
  5. Same here. Unusually slow compared to other cars. Makes the heating take a long time to start cranking up, which is annoying in cold weather.
  6. The auto headlight on feature is the only disappointment I have with my car. Latest Prius has the same problem. It's almost dark before the lights come on. Had the Prius and Lexus adjusted to most sensitive setting. Still no good. For a car made by a group as safety concsious as Toyota, I'm a little surprised.
  7. I just had my car serviced. 59000km, but 5 year/75000km service. Included rear pads and the new fuel filter. $1069! Ouch. Oh well...I still love it.
  8. My 2006 SL can open/close all windows and sunroof by holding the lock/unlock button on the remote. It's a standard feature.
  9. I just got quite a shock with an online quote from www.iselect.com.au Less than $600 for my 2006 IS250 SL.
  10. You play a dvd by putting it where the music CDs are, but you have to be in park and have the parking brake on.
  11. I would have thought it feels like a seriesIII prius, since the specs are pretty much identical. I'd like to have a steer of one.
  12. sorry I cant help, but I'm just wondering if you're absolutely certain that you have to take it to them to keep the 3 year warranty. That's a massive negative if that's true.
  13. Do these things REALLY have adjustable tappets? I thought they went out in the dim dark ages.
  14. I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you that mine sure doesn't sound like that. Not cold...not hot. That sounds terrible. You'd better escalate it before something serious happens.
  15. I'm pretty sure that's what I said! The initial setting is at any speed you choose.
  16. I've got a car that's 15 years old which just had a recall. Obviously that's MILES out of warranty. It was a fuel block. I'm guessing that was considered a safety issue...that might have made a difference.
  17. Yeah...only goes up in 5kph increments when using radar cruise (but not with regular....but why would anyone choose regular)...anyway, you can, of course, set exactly the speed you're at, but after that it's 5kph. The series III prius itech goes up in 1kph increments unless you hold the lever, then it goes to 5. a much better idea.
  18. I came from a 6L VE so im not treating it with much respect... Mine travels on the highway at around 6L to 6.5L per 100km then around town the worst damage I do is around 10.5L per 100kms... As I said, my average for the car for life is 8.8L so far and getting better as the engine free's up more... same here.....these other guys must be real lead foots!
  19. I'm having some trouble believing that works, actually. anyone tried it?
  20. Mine does it rarely too.....and certainly no rhyme or reason that I can find.
