Faulty Vvti Controllers

Hi all,

The other day, I started my car and noticed a sound similar to that which has been discussed as faulty VVTi controllers. I have had the car about 6 months, bought 2nd hand and out of Lexus warranty.

My question is, is this known issue a recall, if so will it be fixed by a dealer without charge if out of warranty? The car does have a Lexus service history and the engine has only done 60k.

Very true...just wondering if anyone had it fixed under good will outside of warranty?

There was a member here who had a 2006 spOrts lux and had cruise cOntrol peoblem and lexus fixed it out of warranty
