2013 Sports Luxury / F-Sport Front Bumper Swap

Hi,

Wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to do a front bumper change to the F-Sport / Sports Luxury from the normal RX ? (Currently own a RX-270)

I tried asking Lexus of Chatswood, they're quoting $5k for a front bumper swap.. (Not including labour)

I really like the more aggresive front bumper, but i think its a bit over the top for $5k.. :(

$5k not including labour seems to be taking the pi$$ a bit. However, depending on exactly what you can retain, and what needs to change, it's a pretty complex set of components and could well end up costing a lot of money. Have a look at this image:

Looks like it's going to cost more than I would expected for a front bumper swap..

Just had a look at the RX-270 X edition and thinking if it worth to upgrade rather than DIY..

List of additional optional on top of normal RX (without additional cost on rrp)

- Heated & Cooled Front Driver & Passenger seats

- Front Sports Bumper & 19" Sports Rims (same like Sports Lux model)

- AFS Headlight

- Key Card

- Head Up Display

Damn...I should have waited for this one...

Just hoping they would able to update the current RX with Enform (without any charge..)

TBH i'm kind a bit pissed.. But.. There's no point of regreting.. Hopefully i've learned my lesson.. Not to rush anymore

though the X package 270 seems like a good deal

only misses out on a few things that my SL has

270 engine is abit of a suprise though

pulls well

Like I said earlier.. I'm still a bit skeptical about the price for the front bar.. And also the previous quote didnt even include labor..

Yeah.. I was given a rx350 SL loaner the other day.. And it was smooth as hell..(the engine noise, transmission, power delivery..)

I kinda imagining your 450h is probably even smoother..

So I need to compare these 2 (below) and see which one is interchangeable?

by the look of it, I need everything on the front bumper except,

- 52611 (Front bumper bracket)

- 52131A (Front Bumper Protection Bar)

and I'm guessing they will come un-painted as well?

If I were you, just be happy with what you have and enjoy the car :). Afterall, you wouldn't have bought her if you didn't like it. If you MUST, then trade it in for the X edition or the V6/Hybrid and save yourself the hassles. Just my 2 cents.

A fair amount of parts and work needs to be done for the 2013 conversion. I know because I just did a conversion with drl headlights.

If you can source the parts for a good price then do it.
