Im no expert and im sure many do mods and not inform their insurance company and all is well when its the other guys fault but be weary if you have an incident and you are to blame.  Ive heard a few horror stories of insurance companies knocking back claims based on the fact certain modifications was not disclosed and something they would not cover.

Generally the mainstream larger insurance companies dont want anything to do with modifications and the ones that do specialise in this, well im sure you'll be paying more every year to know its covered so its a personal preference thing what you do.

Yep that is exactly what I'm afraid of from the Insurance companies, thanks.

Managed to get a pack from Peps Auto.  Here i was thinking it would be a great "Bang for your bucks" mod as you said it was $2.  It set me back $6 so now i have to wait till next pay day for more mods haha, kidding.  If anyone else wants to do it, its a 1/8 vacuum cap (block off plug), anything larger just slides off.

I must admit, for the price and literally 10 seconds to perform it, i was skeptical.  As for power, well louder always seems faster lol.  Im sure a few kw gain or loss wouldnt be noticeable on a 300kw+ motor but as for sound. Well yep, especially with my exhaust, i can hear more of a growl from about 2k.  Only had it on for about a 15 min drive home but im sure i wasted plenty of fuel flooring it just to hear that sound come on earlier.  Thanks for the tip with this one :-)

Think i may lean towards just a HPS vs complete intake with filter.  I would get black too, my bling days are over so no flame red for me lol.

Haha, bloody hell its rice and beans until next pay check! They let me buy one buy itself, so luckily my budget wasn't as shattered :winkiss:

Yeah my fuel bill has suffered, instead of flicking down gears and redlining the engine for a grin, i get my jollys pulling through higher gears now with the glorious sound!!!

Me too, much prefer to fly under the radar these days haha!

Gotta love Ebay, making shopping so convenient.  Got a few broken engine cover clips.  Cant believe how much cheaper it is overseas vs local (for the same part number).

Ps If i was flying to the USA, id be getting more than just an intake, id be using DHL and getting diffusers, headers and anything else i could find lol.  They love their ISF's over there.

What engine cover clips do you mean, if you are talking about the black plastic clips that hold all the black plastic engine panel covers in place just get them from Toyota they are the same cheers. Got my HPS pipe today very well made $268 delivered from eBay urmarketoutlet.  Funny i bought this car and said to myself NO MORE MODS HAHA.......Xforce next....

Yeah i got the Toyota part number etc but from the dealer they are still a rip off vs what Ebay can offer and thats for about 30 so i have plenty plenty of spares lol.  Just need to wait a little longer but no big deal.

Ps No more mods haha, i think weve all said that at some point but it generally doesnt last.

Get yoursel an exhaust, the downshift bleeps are so much better.  Never ever gets boring lol.

an Apexi throttle controller is alot of fun too.  Cheap, easy to install but really makes the car nice to drive (although since your tuned, im not sure how much of an impact it would have)
