Hi all,

Long time observer first time poster.

I am after some advice from the Lexus community. I am about to upgrade to an ISF (recently sold my IS250), and I have been looking for basically a whole year for the 'right' one. I recently have come across 2 of which are both appealing. The two cars in question are a  2008 with low kms (66,000 and in extremely good condition) whilst the other is a 2011 with higher kms (105,000 and in good condition also).

Both are about the same price, so my question is, is the upgrades that occurred in 2011 model, worth the extra km's, or are these not significant enough to warrant purchasing a car with much lower kms. The cars are unfortunately located interstate, so I am not in a position to be able to test drive prior purchase (I know, I know!!).

Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

40k on an ISF is nothing in the scheme of things.  Personally I’d go for the 2011 for obvious upgrades like suspension LSD and DRLs.

If they are both in good condition with good service history then I would (and did) buy the newer one. Not only do they look better (and newer) with the updated front end, but the revised suspension, LSD and interior dash cluster make for a more enjoyable drive.

Hi ODIR77,

I'm on the Central Coast too at Tascott. If you want to inspect an ISF you're welcome to have a look at my 2010 MY11 ISF, just PM me. It's not for sale but just if you wanted to become familiar with the vehicle.

That blue 2008 looks like a fantastic deal, I saw the ad myself and would've jumped on it instantly if it popped up when I was in the market. Depends entirely on your budget I guess, but I couldn't justify paying the premium for a 2011+
